To the people who say he's not they often say boxing has such a rich history. There's too many great fighters.

To that I say bump them out. Look at what Pacquiao has done.

At 112 he knocked out lineal champ in a dangerous Sasukul and was still growing at the time.

At 122 he destroyed Ledwaba who was at the time a 40 to 1 favorite and absolutely the man at superbantamweight.

At 126 he stopped prime Barrera in a one sided fight. Who was a complete fighter, an icon of boxing. Nobody today in boxing could do something like he did that night. Then he fought a draw with Marquez, a masterclass prime technician (won the fight judges error)

At 130 he lost a close decision to prime Morales. Another complete fighter, an icon of boxing. And then he beat prime Marquez. It's just starting to add up now.

At 145 he beat 27 year old Cotto in a destruction.

Post prime he still managed to beat the best 140 pounder in the world in Bradley.

You can't just can't look at this career and not put it up there.

He's an ATG probably in the top 45 but he's not a top 25 ATG.

That's a lot of guys and accomplishments to go through. But I can't find a reason to think that what guys like Ali, Duran, Hagler, Leonard, etc. did clearly surpasses what Pacquiao did.

To stop Sasukul, Ledwaba and Barrera (all prime) is impressive. Then beating prime Marquez, almost beating prime Morales is incredible as well.

Then he still wasn't done and beat much larger guys like Cotto and Bradley.

That's going to be tough to top.

I'm not saying Floyd should not be higher but, in and of itself, a H2H does not determine who should rank higher on an ATG list. Who do you rank higher? Langford or Johnson? Marciano or Louis? Hearns or Duran?

I could not possibly disagree with this any more. But even so, only 1 of those 4 is a definite top 10 guy and only 2 are really arguable IMO.

If you want to make this claim for post WWII then I would agree he has to be top 25.

Would Floyd go down to 122 to meet their prime selves then?
