This post is probably controversial but I have to put this out there.

GUYS, I am fed up with these sparring sessions. You guys constantly throw out names who should fight Pacquiao next, BUT THEY WILL NOT BEAT HIM! Ortiz, Bradley, Marquez, Judah, these guys will not beat Pacquiao (let's be realistic guys).

Time and time AGAIN I hear guys saying how their going to do 'this and that' to Pacquiao. They fail everytime and do not look remotely close to beating Pacquiao.

No one out there can hang with Pacquiao and Mayweather at this time, they are just levels above everybody else in their regarded weight classes.

This I feel is the only thing Pacquiao can do from here on in:

MOVE UP TO 160 AND FIGHT MARTINEZ, because beating him would be something quite extraordinary and magical.

Come on GUYS, Pacquiao will practically dismantle and pick anyone at 147, 154 apart. Why bother beating fighters that have less than 10% chance of winning? And quit mentioning how Ortiz will beat Pacquiao, he is another huge underdog to beat Pacquiao.

Pacquiao simply isn't enhancing his legacy at the moment, and neither will beating Ortiz, Judah, Marquez, do much for him either.

Pacquiao either retires now or tries to accomplish something ASTONISHING again.

Pacquiao vs Martinez must happen. He Pacquiao has nothing to loose as he'd have tried the unthinkable.

It's about time some guys WOKE UP AND SMELT THE COFFEE.

It's crazy to think how spoiled we've become when it comes to Pacquiao. Before the Oscar fight, if you'd said he would go on to not only beat Hatton and Oscar in brutal fashion, but clear out every other top welterweight (sans Floyd, the fight we all really want) and barely lose a round in the process, I'd have already considered that doing the unthinkable. Certified crazy, really.

I don't know how much further it's reasonable to expect him to push the envelope as far as a Martinez fight goes, but it is the only other fight out there besides Floyd that carries real historical significance for him. The Marquez fight in the fall is useful to tie up loose ends, but either Floyd or Sergio should be the last major hurdle for Pac to try and conquer. I'm still hoping the Mayweather fight works out because I think Serg is just too big and too good for Manny to take on.

If that doesn't work, he can take on one or two of the young guns like Bradley or Ortiz, then call it a career going out on top. While neither would add great historical significance on their own, taking out a couple of young lions to end his career with would still be a strong finish, all things considered.

You are right, many are never happy with Pacquiao. More and more want to see him beat (just like Mayweather) because Pacquiao seems to beat these guys so easily.

Whatever Pacquiao does now he gets no credit anymore. Pacquiao can beat these young guys Ortiz, Bradley, but it doesn't really add to his legacy much more credentials - Pacquiao is wasting his time now, there is nothing to prove by beating them.

Marquez is a viable opponent since they have unfinished business. However, again Pacquiao will be shat on due to Marquez being blown up (while true), so why bother?

Pacquiao has nothing to lose fighting Martinez at 160, and putting up a good fight even would give him credit. It's not impossible but Pacquiao is running out of options, he might as well go for broke.

At least he tried the unthinkable right? Pacquiao has around 3 fights left in him, why waste them on 8/1 underdogs?

...and after Pacman beat a 170lb Martinez, no one's left to fight again. He should fight Bute. And after Beating Bute, move up again and fight Haye. Amazing isnt it?

Mayweather is not worth mentioning anymore to fight pac since he is not showing interest of going back in the ring and fight pac. Pac should fight martinez and retire if he loses or if he wins.

    Exactly.

Why waste time fighting guys he knows he can beat?

Pacquiao has nothing to lose by fighting Martinez. It's a win - win. Forget these chumps Ortiz, Marquez, they want a pay day, and will get destroyed.

I hate watching fights when I already know the outcome.

Why fight Bute? Is that coward scared of Froch, Kessler and Ward? Why fight Haye? Is that coward scared of the Klitschkos and slick African American heavyweight Fat Eddie Chambers?

    Manny makes me sick.

Considering his time is coming to an end. If I had to choose 3 fights for him to finish it's this.

Jmm (ideally at lw, or lww if he can get himself ranked there)
Winner of floyd/ortiz (literally the only meaningful fight left at 147)
The impossible - knock out martinez at 160. That absolutely seals his legacy as a genuine top 5 atg with 6 lineal championship in 4 traditional divisions. Completely unheard of in boxing history and as dominant as one could be in the lower weight classes.

only the mayweather fight and win or lose, he can retire. actualy he can retire now and few people would complain about his resume and achievements. just 3 years ago, fighting floyd, never mind beating him, was the impossible task.

160 is too much for pac, but i would really like to see him try. it might be too risky for his health though.

I say take care of Mayweather before moving up. Win or lose. Until Mayweather happens, Pac has everything to lose.

If Pac moves up to 160 and comes off of a loss from Martinez do you see Pac-Mayweather ever, if ever happening? This would just add fuel to the *****s on how Pac is not good enough of an opponent for Floyd.

fact is he beat a top 5 welterweight.

I understand why people like to have a moan. But who else is there. It's not like he's ducking anyone. He's remaining very active, and people who have a problem with - Clottey, Mosley and Margarito. And think it should be (Berto, Bradley and Marquez)

Come on. Margorito clottey and mosley are all tougher fights than those 3.

Everyone just likes a moan. Manny would be a clear favourite against all of those.

Floyd irrelevant as he's on Vacation.

I personally think this new theory that Manny is cherry picking is absurd.

Pac already did the impossible by doing what no boxer has ever done. 8 or 7 division world champion. May i remind you that Pac on the twilight of his career is fighting at his heaviest, but still very small compared to the natural welterweights. Agreed that these fighters they want him to fight may not have a chance, but thats why they do the fight, because the word UPSET exist. Let him fight those deserving of atleast a high payday. (140-147 fighters) Fighting Martinez at 160 is laughable and Pac's haters will be celebrating if he loses and they'd be laughing cause Pac took the fight.
