Already Top Rank promoter Bob Arum, some members of Team Pacquiao and the media are talking about who the pound-for-pound king should fight next.

Our appeal to all these people would be to please give Manny a break. Let him rest and relax and allow the aches and pains that he suffered in a tough fight against a much bigger and stronger Antonio Margarito ease before people start pressuring him about another fight.

Manny Pacquiao needs at least six months rest both for his body and his mind. Let him forget boxing for the next few months so that if he decides to return to the ring he will do so with renewed energy and interest in the sport.

That's exactly what he said when he resumed training six months after the Joshua Clottey. He told us that he missed boxing which is his life and missed the gym.

Meantime, let Manny savor the adulation of his people and his colleagues in congress, enjoy his birthday on December 17 and the Christmas season with his family and then turn his attention to the many tasks before him as the representative of the lone district of Sarangani province in the House of Representatives.

I think Pac should strike the iron while its still hot. I'd like to see PAc vs Berto May 2011.

He's right in the sense that everyone is up in arms about his next opponent. Meanwhile, Pacquiao is probably still rubbing cream on his abdomen without giving a second thought to what Arum is concocting. Give Floyd a chance!
