Filipino boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao said this will be the revenue split he will accept for his scheduled May 2 “superfight” with British fighter.

"Just a little bit more...and I’ll say yes to 55-45,” Pacquiao added.

Hatton orginally said he wouldn't budge from 50/50. Hatton's legacy is at stake here. The man has one big win in his career. Right now, Hatton isn't even a lock to make the hall of fame. If he wants to be the best like he claims he does, than what's another 3%? There's an old saying that says "you gotta pay the cost to be the boss". It's time for Hatton to pay the cost. He's gotten fat for too long off of subpar comp. He already has a ton of money. His legacy is the only thing Hatton has left to fight for.

Hatton is the man with the fanbase who travels around the world. Pacman is taking the **** if he wont even accept hattons compromise offer of 52/48.

arum really weakened pac's bargaining position against hatton by immediately agreeing unilaterally to that 50/50 verbal agreement w/o pac's consent. arum probably thought that he can bully and coerce pac to signing that agreement. to his surprise, the usually mild-mannered pac didn't just "play dead" and let arum have his way this time. that's why i think that pac has lost trust and confidence in arum. he will probably try to bolt top rank after this fight if ever it happens.

Pac might just wanna take the 52-48....I think he deserves 55-45 cuz he is the face of boxing right now...but if all he can get is 52 than he's still getting more!

he's paying the cost with 52:48, that will be pacs biggest payday i would guess, and there's no other fights out there that he will make the same, possibly including pbf as well (with uk money taken into account).

pac doesn't need a traveling fanbase. he already has a built-in fanbase in the US. there are about 4.5M filipino-americans that live in the US now.

well, i'm sure some of them do.

  15. And all of them bought his fight against Diaz, oops... no it was 250,000

Seriously though ho unprofessinal is Manny and his ppl in negotions. I have never seen a fight purse been negotiated in the media before like this.

I'm sure Arum is happy that Mannys "laywer" has been spilling the beans to the papers every day
