My friend said that Garcia's win was more impressive because he brutally KO'd Rios. Some things to consider...

Pacquiao was coming off of a brutally violent KO, a year long lay off, and was old. Rios was also much, much fresher. I don't think I gave Rios a single round.

Danny was coming off of a year long lay off. Rios was damaged goods, but put a decent stand before falling by way of KO. Rios actually won rounds. Maybe 3.

By that logic Bradleys win was better than both.

How do you brutally KO someone who beats the count and has the ref stop it?

The Pacquaio speed of both hands and feet were too much for Rios, and were the sole factor as to why Rios was so ineffective against him. I gave Rios 1 round.

Garcia's style is way difference as he's not nearly as fast as Pacquaio and relies heavily on counter punching to get the job done, which opened him up to being hit himself by a highly motivAted but shot Rios. Two totally different styles but Rios tends to do better against guys with the style of swift as opposed to a quick footed fighter like Pacquaio imo.

Comparing both fights are like comparing apples to oranges but imo Pacquaios win was a little more impressive since Rios was still a notable contender at that time.

Danny had more of a fight. Pacman sort of cruised to victory. Manny is that high level where he makes hard fights easy.

He did. Relatively speaking that is.
He was in way over his head but he performed similar to when he was at his best at 135.

It was too hard to tell because he didn’t win a single round. Rios was just out of his league

Rios was better at 135 that being said Pac didn't lose a round IMO and fought a better version of Rios.

Pacquiao shouldn't even be fighting at 147. Garcia belongs there he has the power to KO Rios being a natural 140.
