    Uh, no. David Diaz, Katsidis, Casamayor, Nate Campbell were not replicating that performance.

    Those are good shouts, though I think Valero came into his own as a force a bit later on. JMM won have won but not put on that performance.

    In fairness to Pac, he showed an ability to box off the back foot and turn an opponent that people (including me) didn't think he had in that fight; and performed at a level that was undeniably impressive regardless of who he was facing. In much the same way that Ali looked the goods against Cleveland Williams, and in the same way that the guy in my avatar looked good against...well, a lot of his opponents, Pacquiao looked spectacular against DLH, and he was probably going to look pretty impressive regardless of whom he faced that night.

    I'm sure those threads have been made but how are those fights even comparable at all? Your comparing Floyd dragging up a lightweight two divisions, to Pacquiao moving up several divisions and taking on Oscar, who everybody thought was going to decapitate pacquiao. Nobody thought Marquez was going to beat Floyd.

    If your gonna make a point, at least make a little sense.

    Pac DLH was simply a case of a severely drained, walking dead fighter 36 yr old fighter getting beat by young, prime opponent. Pac and boxing masterclass shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence

    Oh he moved up two after having 1 fight at lightweight. Oscar was pursuing a money fight with a smaller fighter that everybody thought he was gonna stomp, and it blew up in his face. :|

    Theres' no point in talking to you, your a hater to the nth degree. You wouldn't give Pacquaio credit for anything if you were held at gunpoint. Go jerk off in one the many Floyd Mayweather threads on the board.

    Nah...Even if Pac had been facing a more formidable opponent, they way he moved that night would still have impressed me. It's not a great win, because his opponent was shot to smithereens, and drained on top of that. But it was a pretty damned good performance by Pac. He could have looked a lot worse in conducing the ritual execution of said corpse.

    Just saying.
