Pacquiao purposefully drained himself to avoid slick fighters?

At the front of ESB, Viviek Wallace gives credence to B-Hop’s statements by saying Pacquiao deliberately cut himself down to featherweight (to fight legends such as Barrera, Morales and JMM), so that he could avoid the slick fighters in higher weights.....

With many out there claiming Pacquiao’s dominance over bigger men is largely due to his opponents being drained.....then ****ing hell, what an achievement it is if he himself was weight-drained (purposefully!!) whilst beating all those HOF’ers down there.

But it’s clear what Vivek Wallace has done in this article. Fully aware of the fact that Pacquiao never really had a great deal of noteworthy slick African-Americans to face in the lower weights, he resorts to the claim - Pacquiao was never a bantamweight/featherweight to begin with. That’s right. Instead he’s always been a light welterweight, belonging in a division full of slick African-American fighters - who he can claim Pacquiao avoided - and deliberately drained himself down 2/3 weight divisions.

Honestly, the lengths that some people will go to push such a pathetic issue.

It's the case with many fighters. Chad Dawson is afraid of the Klitschko's, Roman Gonzalez is afraid of Montiel and Sergio Martinez is ducking Marco Huck. Boxing sure is in a sorry state at the moment.

Wallace tries REALLY hard to come off unbiased but he cant hide it. its cool we're all a little bias in the end but i wish he would just come out and openly bash Pacquiao then try to play his angle like its fact.

Lets not forget who has punked out of the fight with who! Pacquiao acquiesced to PBF demands and he still did not want to fight. That is on him not Manny.

Vivek Wallace is embarrassing. James Slater is starting to head that way but in a pro Pacquiao way.

This is ridiculous, had pacquiao jumped straight to lww and fought and beat the likes of Shane Mosley, Zab Judah etc, then Mr. Wallace would have said something along the lines of "This little man jumped to the lww division to avoid the ATG legends Morales, Barrera and Marquez, because he knew he didn't stand a chance in hell against them".

I have come across other articles written by him, and I am starting to believe that he might be paid by the Mayweather's to write such dribble.

The writer you mention was only recently discussing how the steroid issue was looming large over Pacquiao's career. Now, that PED theory is totally out the window for this writer and Pac was always pretending to be small when, in fact, Pacquiao was supposedly much larger.

It's sad watching the dog chase its tail, fruitlessly. The dog always has a new plan to catch the tail, but the tail never quite gets caught.
