I saw that bit in the comments window :rofl.

He said you can't have it both ways. If he wasn't draining to dodge the slick African-Americans, then he must be using PEDs.

Vivek's job is to rile up fans to talk about his article. It's working apparently.

vivek is basically saying pac who was a 122 champ suddenly became a welterweight fighter but chose to drain himself to 126-135 to avoid slick black fighters. what a ****en idiot lol

this is the same vivek who said pac was not multiple weight world champ and that most of pac's belt in the lower weight classes were asian regional belts that shouldn't be counted. he didn't ****en know about chatchai sasakul, ledwaba, or the fact that barrera was lineal featherweight champ when pac got to him. he only started counting pac's belt from MArquez up and would also like to exclude HAtton's 140 belt by saying Floyd already Ko'd him. he didn't have a ****en clue that HAtton was Ko'd at 147 lol

Almost all fighters drained themselves to make weight, that's how it works, they find a certain weight class where they could be effective, just as PBF stayed at 130 while he could fight at middleweight without loosing weight. Boxing should return to same day weigh-in if they want to see these fighters at their natural weight.

Good point. Would not surprise me. Great PR the Mayweather's are doing.
If he wasn't so obsessed with the stupid ZERO on his record he could have retired with a much more secure resume. Now to be the best he has to come out and fight at 34 or 35 against better opp than before. Bad move.

I'm going to have to withdraw my previous support for Vivek Wallace, this latest article is an embarrassment and inexcusable.

It's not unfounded Pac was draining himself at FW. He was rehydrating to WW by fight night. Was that by design to remain in a weight class where he would be more effective? Probably so. Fighters do this all the time. It wouldn't be exclusive to him. Did his handlers steer him away from certain styles, in his earlier days? If they were smart, they did. Otherwise, he may have had more losses on his record, making him tougher to market. Most agree, even Freddie Roach, Pac was a limited fighter.

At this point, he could hold his own against any fighter, around his size. But, that is a product of his hard work, as well as being carefully steered along. IMO, JMM has been the best barometer, thusfar, of where Pacquiao is in terms of boxing IQ. He has not chosen a single opponent since, slick or otherwise, that actually made him really have to THINK in the ring. People are clearly alluding to this absence of more SKILLED opponents on his resume, when these types of arguments are made. People tend to miss that point, while emphasizing less important points, about race, etc.
