right, I'm sure Pacquiao took punches to the face and body for the fans.

 

It hurts when you get punched by someone that outweighs by nearly 20 pounds and is significantly larger

This shouldnt be surprising to anyone

 

He wanted Marg to engage...just like he did with Clottey? Have you seen the fights? And I'm not saying that's the only reason he got hit, it's boxing he's gonna get hit. But if you can't see that he engages these bigger guys for a better show then you are pretty stupid :deal

 

...but still took the time to visit Margarito afterward in his locker room.

 

Does Margarito punch that much harder than Cotto?
Pac ate some hard body shot from Cotto, but he looked fine afterward(he admit it hurts though lol)

 

It just show Manny got balls to get in the ring with bigger stronger guys and willing to trade with them.
Too bad some people lost their balls to fight this midget Pac.

 

Against Marquez he obviously took alot more punishment. The fact that he's this affected could be because he's actually getting older and his body cant take what it could when he was 28. The dude's been in wars since he was 16..

 

People that think Margo has no power are generally delusional. His whole game is getting you against the ropes and bludgeoning you with shots up and down. If Pac spent as much time as Cotto on the ropes, he would be the one getting carried out on a stretcher. Pac just has the mental fortitude as well as incredible stamina and footspeed that allowed him to escape every time Margo tried to corner him.

Cotto can never throw that type of volume nor does he have that type of elusive footspeed to evade Margo for the whole fight before gassing out. I think Margarito will always beat him into submission 9/10 times.

 

More like he puts his guard up and entices his opponents to hit him.

 

Yup...the fact that Margarito was 17lbs heavier than him has nothing to do with it :roll:atsch

 

The body shot he got hit with by Margarito were unexpected. the cotto ones he put his guard up and expected the shots.

 

This is what I both love and hate about the little guy. He has the skills to avoid it, keep clear, keep outside using those crazy angles for flurried assaults and walk to a UD.

But not Manny, he wants to test himself and put on a show for the fans.

I love the fact he does it, hate the impact it could have in his future.

 

I bet your the same type of fan that would scream for blood and guts in a boxing match, but then 10 years later if Manny were in a wheelchair and suffering from a brain injury you would be the first one to say "Manny Who?"

Could be. But look through the Margarito fight and then the Marquez fight, then come back to me and tell me which fight YOU think was physically more excausting. No doubt that Margo hits harder, but Marquez landed sooooo many more shots.

I honestly dont think he can take as much punishment today as he could in his earlier years. Props to him though for making it look like Margos shots was like being hit by a girl in the ring, when it obviously took alot out of him.
