I love boxing and will be on the 1st plane to Las Vegas to watch this fight if and when it happens at ringside. However the premise of this post is the 60-40 split and I am merely point oiut that the economics are in PBF's favour simple yet you feel that justify or warrants you abusing me especially when the bottomline figure support my analysis. Boxing has always been a business at this level or should they fight for free?

Where have I said they should fight for free? Perhaps I've been a little too hasty throwing you in with the rest of the Floyd fanboys. It does, however, seem like fans are more preoccupied with talking about who deserves more money than wanting to see the best fighting the best.

It's not hard to understand the logic you are using, I just don't think it's healthy for the longevity of the sport. Best fighting the best at all times is what we should be seeing.

No I have not slept with supermodels and we have no way of verifying you have either. Are you always this uptight?

Unfortunately I am not sure that the long term longevity of the sport comes into it as far as the promoters, TV and financiers and fight camps are concerned. This is probably a shame as you point out. I once had to stop my guy fighting Junior Witter for free when he was chomping at the bit to finish him off but in my view felt that could do it but why do it for free when as an amateur he fought for free and the love of boxing.

I don't expect fighters and promoters to operate under anything other than a myopic agenda. I do, however, feel the TV companies and fans can help bring an end to this stuff though. I know you're a Floyd fan, but he has contributed to this stuff unfortunately. He's in a position to do what he wants, but people like Paul Williams, Tim Bradley and Amir Khan now seem to want to follow his model.

At least Floyd did an impressive body of work before turning into a prima donna, these other guys want to have their cake and eat it. Only the fans and TV companies can stop it.

Techinically I didn't ask a question and, even if I did, I certainly wouldn't expect you to jeopardise your marriage to satisfy a nobody on the Internet. Good to see you have a sense of humour though.:good

I am a fan of PBF and I admire Pacman so much. I think they have earned the right to get as much as they can in the final fights of their careers. Khan I think is deluded and he makes me laugh so much. Sad thing is I think he really believes what he says.

I was coming round to Khan, but I don't like the way the JMM-Diaz winner is being talked about as his next opponent instead of one of the top 140 guys.

Khan seems to be a fighter than needs a lot of protection. If they were sure about him he would be fighting Maidana but clearly they are not.

Maidana ain't fighting anyone, nor can anyone be confident about when he will be. He just turned down a fight with Bradley and no-one knows who represents him including, apparantly, the fighter himself. Kinda makes it hard to arrange a fight....

Doesn't make it hard to arrange a fight with someone other than a lightweight though, eh?;)

I know you're going to tell me that fighting Marquez gets him more exposure etc, but it doesn't make it any less disappointing in such a talent rich division.
