This a good article discussing why Pac vs Hatton or PBF could happen in the near future. Pac needs a Superfight.

Pac vs any from 135 & below will only Draw the same or lesser PPV buy that what they draw from EM & MAB fights.

Pac will probably fight the loser of PBF-Hatton in the near future. If it's Hatton they can do it at 140 title. If PBF maybe at a Catchweight below 140. I'm sure they'll take the fight with Pac coz it will Pay more than fighting the Big welters like Margarito & Williams.

For Pac, He can keep on fighting 130-135 fighters & keep winning. Fighting with Bigger Hatton & PBF will command triple his current purse.
Pac can lose but the worst thing that could happen to him is a KO body shot from Hatton & a schooling from PBF. But the exposure he can get on those fights will bring him more fans & will crossover him in the mainstream. Let say he lose, he can come back to 130-135 & dominate there again but this time he's already exposed to the mainstream, therefore bringing more PPV buys that equate to bigger purse.

If he wins, more Money & more Glory for his Legacy & his all time greatness will be secure.

There aren't any "superfights," but there are "big fights" around 130-135 that he needs to take in order to cement his legacy. They include:

    Pacquiao vs. Marquez II
    Pacquiao vs. Guzman/Soto
    Pacquiao vs. Valero
    Pacquiao vs. J Diaz

Pac-JMM if marketed correctly could be a superfight. I think it will draw 400k fans minimum anyways. This fight has been hyped for 4 years. Now is the time. If Pac really wants to venture 140 which I think he will once his body is ready, he should go down the route of JMM, JuanD & Hatton/PBF.

Weightclasses are overrated anyways. Many times the much smaller man has gone up and beat the bigger guys. When the bigger guy wins they say its cos of size...yep alot of the times its size, alot of the times its simply cos the bigger guy is better too.

Pac doesnt stand a chance against Hatton or Mayweather.

I cant believe Pac fans would want to feed him to Mayweather or Hatton. Its like asking your favorite football team to play the Pats with their second string defense right now. :-(

Would you say Duran stood a chance with Hagler before he came up to MW? Pac is no Duran but PBF aint no Hagler either, he hasnt been a WW all his life as Hagler was naturally MW all his career. PBF would UD Pac but it isnt gonna be this massacre you guys are making it out to be.

Pac vs PBF- PBF TKO 10

Pac vs Hatton- Hatton TKO Pac 6

I just can't see it. Duran was a multifaceted fighter who could fight a million different ways.

Pac is a fighter who comes straight towards his opponent and lands power shots. This doesnt bode well for fighting men this big. PBF is going to make him miss and make him pay. And Hatton is just too damm big for Pac and too rugged on the inside.

Pac as good a fighter as he is and he is a very good fighter would loose to Hatton because Hatton is bigger and stronger and LOVES people who are not as strong as him to come straight at him.

    Hatton KO

Floyd would outbox and beat up Pac in every round he has faster hands faster feet more power and is more accurate.

    Mid/late round TKO.

What would that do for Pacs legacy though? if he faced two guys he has no chance whatsoever to beat. It might make you famous. Look at DLH he might be one of the most famous fighters to have ever boxed but he will never be considered as an ATG. (in the top of the list i mean) Things that would cement Pacs legacy is fighting all those tough fights he has in the 130 and maybe jump to 135 division which is way too dangerous for him i think.

Duran stayed there to fight Hagler at his own game and stayed there. You would think that a heavy hitter and a true MW would blast a LW out who stands there in front of him. Duran is a crafty ******* but he took some shots, and he gave some shots. I just think weight is being severely overrated here, dont forget that PBF was once a FW too. Its like Pac was a BW too and I think if Pac & Rafa were to meet at 126, it would be a hell of a fight and Pac wont necesarily steamroll Rafa cos his the bigger man. Afterall, they made the same weight on weighin.

Lets not get carried away here. Carlos Hernandez took PBF the whole 12 rounds, Pac is more skilled, more durable and more powerful than Hernandez. Pac will make the distance and probably win some rounds too.

PBF UD & I take Hatton via bodyshot KO. If I were to pay for a fight it would be Hatton/Pac cos it would be a bloody mess.

Anybody from 135 & Below doesn't stand a Chance now with this Present Day bigger Pac. Look at how Pac dominate EM & MAB lately. Pac just Played & Carried Larios, Solis & MAB. EM beat him the 1st time & Pac learned not to underestimate opponents anymore, so He destroyed EM In their rematch & Rubbermatch.

Soto, Guzman, & Valero are a threat but there's no Money there. They need to make a name for themselves first before Pac considers them. I believe JMM fight is next but even the Mexicans are not embracing him yet. Very few of the Mex I'd talk to give JMM any Chance.

At 135 Casa is Done, the guy who schooled him is just Pac's former Sparring Partner. Even Manny Steward said , around rd 9, "if Pac was there, Casa will already been KOed". David Diaz is a Nobody but a paper title, Only Juan Diaz is the Marketable fighter but Juan featherfisted style is made for Pac. I don't think he has a chance at all.

Pac needs to beat JMM next march, Then moved up to beat Juan D & make it look easy. If Pac beat these 2, forget about Soto, Valero, & Guzman for now. JMM will serve at a Gate keeper for these 3 before they can be considered with Pac. By this time there will be buzz in Boxing about these Pac vs Hatton/PBF matchup & this fight will finally be made. We're not talking about the 130 lbs Pac here, we;re talking about a much bigger Pac now, the one that don't need to starve anymore to make weight. All Pac has to do is Eat right & just trained hard. The Monster Pac we've witness in Morales 3 is rehydrated overnight Pac, imagine a not rehydrated Monster Pac???

I give Pac a good Chance beating Hatton & give 50% Chance with Floyd.

Duran is Special, but he has some Problem with conditioning lately in his Career. He was Dominant at 135. He moved to 147 to fight the Mainsteam fighter in SRL & Beat him. This is Duran's 1st Superfight & he becomes a Millionaire after that. Then he lost the rematch, he lost to Benitez, Hearns, Hagler & some other Journeyman. If you saw his Body compare to the 1st SRL fight, he definitely didn't take care of himself & become a slacker in training. He gains a lot lbs in-between fights.

This where Pac differs from Duran. Pac Beats MAB & become a superstar. In my book he beat JMM. Lost to EM but adjust & work harder & KO EM twice. Even when Pac becomes a Millionaire he didn't slack-off in training, He still as ripped as ever. Now he is moving up again not because he cannot make the weight but because he's looking for more Challenges. Other than Morales any other was able to beat Pacquiao recently???

If Pac is not Special like Duran. You don't know what's the meaning of SPECIAL.:thumbsup
