Pacquiao says he needs the money. How is this even possible?

Floyd aside, I can't think of many more boxers who have made as much money in their career. Surely it's in the hundreds of millions of dollars.

I know Manny is supposed to be generous with hand-outs, charities etc but surely he can't "need" money.

With his enormous entourage he was known to on multiple occasions have spend his purse before he actually earned it.
He's going the way of Tyson and Holy if you ask me.

Pacquiao has spent quite a bit on projects in his homeland, his entourage was like MC Hammer's, and Arum is probably raping
him royally TBQH, Pac should go talk to Al Haymon (I'm being dead serious)

Dude is buying the electorate. Hospitals, schools, fire stations, plus all his "smaller" acts of charity.

I'd contend he is going the way of Duran, rather than Holyfield et al.

Its great that he gives so much back but that shouldn't come at the expense of making himself broke.

Ironically the Mayweather haters were the ones saying how after he retired he would be back fighting due to needing the money. Claimed Floyd wasted money and on his entourage etc etc.

Pacquiao should of went to Floyd and asked for advice on investing his money.

Manny needs to drop his so called friends. Some of his friends sound like free loaders.

Oscar and 50 don't like Floyd so I really wouldn't take what they say as Gospel.

I would think Al Haymon make's sure Floyd's money is invested in the right places so Floyd's money works for him.

As far back as when Mayweather questioned what Arum was paying him his been very astute is making sure he got paid extremely well in boxing and maximising the returns what his talent and persona could generate. That alone makes me think in retirement his no different and his money isn't wasted but invested wisely to make sure it gets him the best return possible without stupid risks.

Look at the history of boxers who have amassed so much wealth only to end up broke or bankrupt. They are various reasons why but the common thing is that they ended up running out of money.

If it's true that Pac needs money, this goes back to how generous he is with his money (he's usually mobbed by people in his hometown asking for a handout), he has a large entourage and before finding God was a huge spender.

Thhere have been other finiancial set backs such as owing tax money and God knows how much Arum and co take off him.

I mean he's not broke at all right now and he certainly has enough money but he does support his extended family and friends. What's wrong with a multimillion dollar paydays for fights and getting more money for the future? I'd probably be doing the same and milking what I can while I'm in earnings prime

Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield both made 500 million dollars and now they are both broke. Manny Pacquiao made roughly that too so I guess it happens. Big entourage, big house, big family, big generosity, plus he might be personally financing elections in the Philippines and that ain't cheap either.
