It will not be surprising if he avoids Floyd because Roach and Arum have already been making excuses.

On a sidenote... just out of curiosity, what are Pac Man's political views? I don't know hardly anything about the political system in the Phillipines, and was wondering exactly what Pac Man's platforms are? Is he considered to be very far left, slightly liberal, moderate, slightly conservative, or very far right? I would assume fairly liberal since he came out of relative poverty? Can anyone cite some of his politcal stances? Thanks!

It's dumb to do it in my opinion. Hopefully he loses.

This is all to try to get leverage on the next fight's negotiations.

Anyone that is that religious may be ultimately too dangerous for their own good. Politics (especially in such a poor country) is about making compromises - with scarce resources, you can't make everyone happy. You have to focus on the greater good - and we know (from our former president) that it means that they look at the world in black and white.

Politics and Religion don't mix, and Pac may be too religious to be a good leader.

I invite him to prove me wrong -> for the greater good (and the good of the Philipino people)

That's kind of what I was thinking... religion and politics should NEVER mix. Plus, in general no one likes a politician. You almost have to be a snake by nature to gain political power and harness it. Why would he want to go from a sports legend who is beloved by everyone in his country to a douche bag politician that has maybe half the support of his country? I forgot how religious he was when I made my original post, so I'm thinking he might not be the best politician. So is he conservative on social issues and liberal on economic issues? I'm not even vaguely familiar with the socio-political atmosphere of the Phillipines, but I imagine some things that would be considered conservative views in North America and Eurpoe might be considered liberal in the Phillipines? Someone drop knowledge on me, thanks!
