...............Recently, I sat down and spoke with the 8 division world champion Manny Pacquiao. The pound for pound king was relaxing after a long day of sparring at the Wild Card Gym. The second half of his training camp has kicked off in Los Angeles, and according to Alex Ariza, Pacquiao is looking great.
During my conversation with Manny, the topic of the Mayweathers and Juan Manuel Marquez came up. Pacquiao as he always does kept it humble, yet he was direct, "I only want to fight someone who respects the people and the fighter" said Pacquiao, "There is no need for all of the trash talk, this is boxing, it is a sport." There has been plenty of trash talk, and Manny definitely hears it.

Pacquiao is preparing for his May 7th fight Vs. Shane Mosley. He's been sparring top prospect, soon to be contender Shawn Porter. Pacquiao knows that the fight against Mosley may be harder than some people think, " I am not underestimating Mosley because he is bigger and he's never been knocked down. Shawn Porter has a style like Mosley, we sparred 7 rounds today."
Porter, who is promoted by Mississippi based Prize Fight Promotions, helped Pacquiao get ready for Miguel Cotto. I have seen Porter fight several times in Tunica, MS at Fitzgeralds Casino. He's a talent that has world champion written on him in the near future.
Mosley has not fared so well in his past few fights. A sound defeat by the hands of Floyd Mayweather Jr, and a draw Vs Jr middleweight world champion Sergio Mora. The question remains, did Shane get old, or did he just end up fighting back to back awkward type fighters?
Pacquiao is banking on a much tougher Mosley than what Mora and Mayweather Jr saw, " Mosley will come to win. A win against me will be big for his career, but I am not going to let that happen. I am preparing for any type of fight."
Mosley will certainly need everything that he can muster to have half of a chance. He will have to fight the fight of his life.

Pac is right about saying that good sportsmanship in important, but fact is we know he will fight anyone... even disrespectful fighters. His last opponent was a proven cheater who called Pac a puta and made fun of Roach's Parkinson's.

It is trash because Pacquiao won both fights. Marquez hits the canvas more than acrylic paint. Marquez is the most bitter man in boxing.

Yep, if he gets upset at a little trash-talking I dont think he'll enjoy playing at being a politician.

Take the ****ing test, make the ****ing fight.

I will not watch another Pac fight until he fights Floyd & vice versa. (rule does not apply if Sexy Sergio gets involved(no homo))

Roach talks mad, mad ****. But he can't take it when people say anything bad about his holy fighter. And no, Marquez is not trash talking or being disrespectful by saying he won the fights with Pacquiao. Unless, of course, you feel Sergio is an epic disrespectful and trash talking fiend for claiming he won his fight with Williams. Everybody on this site's a damn hypocrite.

Pacquiao's a whiny, sensitive crybaby if he is dead serious offended by JMM or Mayweather and won't fight them because of so... That is def the worst excuse I've heard from him, worse then "I afraid needles!!!" What a ducking mother****er, to not fight someone because: they're disrespectful? 100% *****.

Mayweather, I can understand; PED accusations, constant shitting on his resume, calling him a media creation, racist remarks, etc.

    Marquez? "I beat Pacquiao twice."

I think there's a difference there. It's hard to see who he was talking about but I doubt it was a direct reference to JMM alone. I agree that sportsmanship is indeed important.

Manny Pacquiao is in the Driver's seat. Its a lesson in life. The more sh*t you talk in life, the less you should be rewarded.

Having said this, I only hope he fights people that respect him in and out of the ring. He's doing THEM a favor by giving them the biggest paycheck of their career.
