Floyd cherry picked his way to a title at 140, Gatti had won a vacant title himself and Dorin was a powder puff punching Lightweight. Floyds run at 140 is very weak and then he moved up to 147 a division at the time much weaker.

Canelo never won a title at 160, well not really as he never allowedhis opponent to weigh in at the weight limit, 155 isn't 160....Canelo has nothing "legit" besides facing GGG at 160. Old Cotto and glass chin Khan doesn't equate to being "legit".

As for Pac, yes his move to 135 was brief but he fought DLH next and in 2008 alone he had fought in 3 weight divisions and then went on to destroy the man at 140 straight after DLH in Hatton. Then Pac went and destroyed Cotto right after that.

Also beating Yuri Foreman does not validate Cotto at 154, besides Santos he had beaten nobody and lost in his very next fight to that midget Pole.

You don't like Pac I get it but whether you like it or not he has won one of the major belts in 7 divisions, a record if I'm not mistaken.

You seem to be pretty vacant about the premise here: snatching a fabricated belt and immediately and permanently exiting the weightclass is distinctly a Pacquiao-based phenomenon. None of the other parties discussed have done that. We aren’t talking about catchweights and “cherry picking” titlists who already defended against rated opposition.

How is beating David Diaz for a WBC title and then immediately jumping up 12lbs look bad on Pacquaio, just because he never defended the belt 3,4 or 5 times against sub par opposition does not mean that he never was a champion, same as his win for the vacant title against Margarito, Pac immediately jumped in with Shane Mosley, yes he won a title there but it was an opportunity to once again make history nothing more and nothing less.

Just like Floyd when he won his 154 title against Cotto and immediately vacated, as he did against ODLH and when he had Canelo weightdrained prior to his match and he immediately vacated.....so its not solely a "Pacquaio" phenomenon is it.

Still he has won 1 of the major 4 belts in 7 divisions.

Incorrect. Pac is the only guy I can think of who won two fake belts in different weight classes and then permanently exited those weight classes. If you’ve got someone else, shoot, but Floyd and Cotto aren’t it.

How was beating Diaz representative of having a "fake" belt?

If that's the case then Cotto won his WBO 140 title in a vacant title, he won his 1st and 2nd titles at 147 in vacant title fights and then he beat Kamegai for a vacant title at 154.

Now if Diaz and Margarito where for fake titles then what the hell would you call beating Pinto, Jennings. Kamegai and Quintana all for vacant titles.

And the fact that Pacquaio went from 135 to 147, back to 140 then stayed at 147 for the majority of the time has no bearing on him winning a title in one division and then vacating.

You seem to be hostile on Pacquaios amazing 7 division title record.

a lot of pacroid's title wins (diaz, etc)do not validate his title wins. just like foreman.
dlh coming out dead out of retirement does not count
just as any of his wins at 140 plus
