because hatton was drained at 140. :nut
Also Gamboa walking around weight is near 140, so he'll be a beast at lightweight and light welterweight.

Also Ortiz will become a beast at middleweight

Hatton weighed vs Floyd what he weighs when he fights at 140. His team already knew that adding that extra weight for the title fight was not good for Hatton as he didn't carry the weight around well.

Interesting stuff, especially the last post in the thread about Conte. BTW, what are the chances that Floyd would subject himself to random blood tests during when he takes his next year-long vacay?

Pac's walking around weight is around mid 150s I think (that's what Ariza once said). So Gamboa, at 140, cutting the same kind of weight that Pac would, would bring him down to feather/super feather he already fights at.

So, it kinda' makes sense :good

Oh, and you also need to bear in mind that different people react differently to weight loss. Hatton, being a guy who'd walk around at 170, obviously had a high tolerance for dramatic weight loss. He actually preferred it that way. He liked to fight at 140.

Mayweather is taller and heavier naturally than either of those two fighters. Why is this hard to understand?

do you not get the point I'm trying to make dumbass?
Almost all boxers drain down and weight and fight at a smaller weight. Fighting closer to your ring weight or walking around weight doesn't always make you better
