Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think Juan Manuel Marquez is a southpaw at all.

Pac will always give boxers problems, but it works both ways. If JMM can work behind his jab and take Manny off his game, he should win the fight. If he decides to brawl, he will lose. I'm predicting a UD for Marquez, but he has been getting tagged more recently, so I'm might be wrong.

I love how people seem to forget that Morales beat Pacman in their first fight.

I think of the boxers who pacman fought, prime for prime who could beat pacquiao almost all the time its Morales.

Erike morales has the height and knows how to use his reach and a granite chin.

if pacman fought him at 122, 126 in his prime morales would come out on top the majority of the time.

Morales wasnt dumb enough to trade blow for blow with pacquiao but he knew how to bully the bully and then back away, before pacman could unleash.

but morales got fool hardy in the 3rd fight and for some reason he wanted to go blow for blow which I dont get why he did that and he suffered badly.

but I commend him for going out on his sheild dude is a warrior.

Mayorga vs. Vern Forrest I & II comes to mind. Vern is too good to lose to a chump like Mayorga. GUess that's what happens when you're intimidated from the get go.

I thought Morales would win the second fight, but he didn't have the stamina or output to slow down Manny. He still lasted 10 rounds, and was doing well early. But he faded and you could tell that wasn't the Erik Morales who went 24 rounds with MAB.

In the third fight, his legs looked like they were going to let him down in the first minute of the fight. He still had a warrior mentality and willpower, but his body was through after all the wars he'd been in. I predicted a PAC win in the third fight because I knew Morales was faded, and I was right.

Morales did lay the blueprint for beating Manny. Back Pac up with lead rights, get his respect with your power, land your jab to slow him down, and maybe most importantly have the chin to absorb his attack.

    yup

Morales has underated boxing skills he could of easily out boxed marco as well but he fought him like he wanted to knock him out and traded with him constantly only cause he hated marco.

but when I saw erik fight so smart against pacquiao I knew he was the better man then marco. the only real time erike traded with pacman was at the 12th when he switch southpaw and pacman wobbled him a bit ahah that was funny though.

That was one of my favorite fights real boxing style for style.

Hearns and Leonard were known as boxers, thats where the similarities end. Stylistically different. Hearns was a long range boxer, sharp and busy jab, tremendous power with the right hand, and he was very active with his punch output. Leonard was different. He prefered to flurry with his punches in bunches, hooked more effectively, and paced himself with ring intelligence. Leonard was a bit more versatile.

Yeah I know that but even before the fight ..there was no talk of one fighter having this tremendous edge over another.

I mean if you remember Ali/Frazier 1 or what weve seen of it. People , experts were expecting Ali to get murdered.

Lance made a good point..with Vernon and Mayorga..Vernon, patient, technical...against a crude fighter like Mayorga and Mayorga tooled him
