My God Manny is simply Arum's puppet! I mean this guy will go along with anything the Bobfather says. He has no mind of his own. I'll never understand why so many hate on the Mayweathers and Jones because they don't want to be controlled by the corrupt promoters who control boxing.

Floyd should be applauded for going his own way and never cowtowing to these scumbags who have ruined the sport we love. Being one of the top guys in boxing means more than simply beating the guy your promoter puts in front of you.

I always respected Pacman for his religious beliefs and seeming good nature, but this guy should've put his foot down with this Margarito fight. It's a joke!

I don't dislike this fight but I can see how some do. HOWEVER, you mention Floyd, I guess being your own boss and instantly accepting JMM's challenge at 2 weight classes above his best and not honor the weight is better?

It is in his favor. The fight is a mismatch, plus he is bound to make a lot of money

how does boxing win? you guys make good points about FLoyd, but nevertheless..why doesn't MANNY make a stand and tell his promoter NO. i'm not fighting a guy who was caught cheating and disgraced the sport, especially when he has shown no remorse, been revoked in the last US state he fought in, and looked like crap in his last fight.

this should in no way be a ppv

ok, i was wrong about floyd. that wasn't the point of this thread.

manny is 1 of the 2 faces of boxing. he wants his promoter to pick his fights...fine. that's fair, but make a stand against that bum instead of contributing to the downfall of boxing by putting millions in his pockets

this is hilarious. i make a thread addressing the resent news that margacheato got his license in texas hence making a ppv against the #1-2 p4p in the sport. i mention floyd and everyone chimes in only about floyd.

Manny says yes to money and this fight makes sense money wise. Trust me if Floyd had the chance to fight a 1 handed Margarito for 30 million dollars he would take it, trust me.

If it don't make money it don't make sense...well guess what pac-margarito makes money.

There were thousands of mexicans during the pac-clottey fight in arlington, i bet there would be more this time around.

i genuinely like pacquaio and think this accepting this fight tarnishes his legacy. I understand he will get a big payday, but manny would get a pay day against damn joel "the love child" julio for god's sake.

people tune in to see manny and floyd despite the opponent.

    pacquiao vs bradley
    pacquiao vs williams
    pacquiao vs cintron
    pacquiao vs marquez III
    pacquiao vs judah
    pacquiao vs alexander
    pacquiao vs mosley

ALL MUCH BETTER FIGHTS THAT WOULD GENERATE SIMILAR INTEREST IF PROMOTED RIGHT

Aside from marquez and mosley the rest are pretty much unknown. Judah is past prime and hasn't done anything for a while. He loss to clottey who pac dominated.

And NO aside from marquez and mosley not many people know bradley-williams-cintron and alexander. So those fights won't sell too much.
