Pacquiao threw Hail Mary punch at Hatton Floyd This content is protected LAS VEGAS (Reuters) - Floyd Mayweather Jr., who will take on Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez in a non-title welterweight bout on Saturday for his first fight since beating Britain's Ricky Hatton in December 2007, has belittled Manny Pacquiaos win over the same Briton, saying his own win was of a higher quality. The undefeated American, a former world champion at five different weights, has come out of retirement determined to reclaim the title of best pound-for-pound boxer which has passed on to Pacquiao largely on the heels of Pacquiaos demolition of Hatton and Oscar de La Hoya. Mayweather, however, believes his own victory over Hatton was of a higher quality and that his return to boxing will bring a much needed jolt of excitement to the sport. If you throw a punch enough times in the gym, doesn't instinct take over and it becomes second nature? Eh, it's just PBF being PBF.
in his eyes he think he is the mega-superstar.....but in the heart of 75% for boxing fans i dont think so. CANT WAIT FOR JMM TO HIT HIS INJURED RIBS AND SEE HIM CRAWLING ON THE CANVAS.
lets be honest it was a hail mary shot. hatton was winning that second round. would pacman still have beaten hatton later on in the fight? probably he would have tired an took more punishment and wilted under the pacman pressure. pbf did score a better victory cos he systematically took hatton apart over ten rounds. didnt win cos of one punch
There's this constant need within the Mayweathers to bring others down in order to raise their self worth... Don't we all know people like that ?
that punch might have been a haymaker but the other 100 punches that hurt ricky were with his eyes WIDE open, can;t understand why pbf just keeps trying 2 get people not 2 like him, he has all the tools in the world but he refuses 2 be humble and gracious even in a win. humility doesn't cost a cent but makes millions$$$$$$$$$$$$
