Pac turned 31 years old Dec. 17. He's been in his 30's for a year. 20 pounds of pure muscle in one year you say? If you can understand graphs, here's Pac's weigh-in weights and fight night weights since November 2006, which was Pacquiao-Morales 3. During the off season when not in training, Pac says he weighs around 153 lbs. This content is protected Let's break down the graph, shall we? Seems to me like Pac was weight draining himself too much, not roiding up as Mayweathers claim. 11/18/2006 Pac-Morales 3: Manny at weigh-in 129, then steps in the ring rehydrated at 144. 10/06/2007 Pac-Barrera 2: Manny 130 at weigh-in, fully hydrated in the ring @ 144. 06/15/2008 Pac-Marquez 2: Manny says he struggles to make 130, climbs ring @ 145. 06/28/2008 Pac-Diaz: Pac weighs-in 135, fights @ 147. 12/06/2008: Pac- De La Hoya: Pac weighs in 142, fights @ 148 05/02/2009: Pac-Hatton: Pac weighs in 138, fights at 148 11/14/2009: Pac-Cotto: Pac weighs in 144, fights at 148? So in 3 years time between Morales 3 and Cotto, Pac has fought as low as 144 and as high as 148. This content is protected difference on actual fight night. Them steroids do wonders don't they? :yep
Ah yes......Manny has tested in all his previous fights yet never tested posititive. FLoyd is on roids if that is the case...so is everyone else who has ever tested clean.atsch
I agree, I have heard that before as well. And it makes sense. After 30 your matabolism slows and causes weight gain.
I would say Pac reached his physical peak for the Diaz fight- but he is still developing his trade and skills as he gets older, a bit like Lennox Lewis did. Its perfectly normal for a fighter to start going up in weight in his late 20s like Pac has (look at Duran, Leonard )and its the nutritionists job to make sure the weight is put on effectively
ANDREW671 claimed from his very first posts on this board to be an ''MD''. I would usually think that ''MDs'' are quite smart to become what they are.. You sounded legit at first and well intentioned but your following posts show your clear cut agenda... So Manny Pacquiao has put on 20 pounds of muscle in little time, in his 30s... You either hope people are that gullible to swallow you're bull**** or you've never really followed Pacman and his evolution through time. Pacquiao has normally gained at least ten pounds, often more after the official weigh-ins, his entire career. The man was cutting weight non stop to make weight. If Pacquiao would be as ripped, looking drained at 145 lbs on the day of the weigh-in, as he was in the lower weights, and gained another 12-15 pounds the day of the fight, then that would be a major concern, mainly considering the time frame for gaining so much in so little time. Mackie Shilstone has already helped Bernard Hopkins successfully jump from 160lbs to 175 lbs in just a few months, making him look like a greek god, the day of the weigh-in. Is that suspect also Mr. ''MD'', knowing that the human body reaches it's natural muscle mass between 25-27 years of age and Bernard was at least 40 ??????
i agree. i've read man's physical/mental peak (or prime or whatever) is 29-31. Plus you can definitely pack on size/muscle mass in your 30's as i think anyone whos reach that age can attest to. Don't know how this all plays into what pac has done recently, but i'm just saying you can't just look at his "size" at age 31 and saying that his on something b/c he's a lot bigger than at 25
I'm 39 and started lifting weights a year ago and muscles has gotten much bigger, so I don't understand that
No. Just callin it like I see it. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and talks like a duck, THEN ITS A ****IN DUCK. You gotta be braindead not to understand this.
