    Pacquiao to fight on June 9th or 16th, says Arum – Breaking News!

    January 8th, 2012


    By Jim Dower: WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao will be fighting on June 9th or 16th, according to fightnews.com. Promoter Bob Arum told writer Nick Giongco of fightnews that Pacquiao will be back in action against one of four possible opponents in the summer date. It won’t be Floyd Mayweather Jr., however, as he’ll be serving his 90-day jail term at that time.

    Well there you have it in black and white. We learned much from that article. The part that gets me is this quote
    I think this ends all the talk about floyd not wanting the fight. Arum had an option to take the fight with Floyd which means that the fight was offered, which means that floyd wanted it.

    Once again Team pac claims they want to push the date back, when they dont have a legit reason for it.

    I have said it all along the fight wont happen. Arum AND ROACH with never allow Pac to fight Floyd until he is used up at which point Roach will want him to retire and that dirtbag Arum would finally be ready to offer Pac up to floyd. I see it now, this time next year Arum will be once again saying that Floyd is scared.

    He may want to ask the judge for a reconsideration, by saying he will serve the prison time now because he has a fight on June 9 or June 16.

    It would be funny to watch Arum dance. Floyd reports to Jail tomorrow does hie 84 days which will turn out to be about 40-50 days out by mid March and still has time for a regular camp.

    Then May will need to behave to avoid another jail term again and will declare that the next fight he will have will be with Pacquiao, and he will wait until pacs cut is healed.

    Because boxing isnt a sport anymore - its more of a business.

    Arum is protecting his business interests by keeping Pac well away
    from Mayweather.
