I am not so sure that it is a macho thing, i believe it is a natural thing when you give a hand shake. When i shake another man's hand i don't think" hey its vice grip time" that would be a sign of insecurity on my part. It's not about proving anything to me it's just a genetic trait in people, some of us are aggressive in everything we do even when drinking water and some are more passive. Most of us do this things unconsciously and some people do them consciously when trying to prove something that comes naturally to us. I don't believe a simple handshake has anything to do with a persons sexuality or machismo even though some people for whatever reason might think it does. Again i did not mean to offend anyone who has a soft and feminine handshake in this forum or insecurities about his sexuality.

Hahahahahhaha , and you do ? You must be kidding right ? Some ignorant arm chair warrior knows more about boxing than an ATG and current PFP king.

He is now claiming he agreed to the test at any point leading up to the fight. Oh and for those who don't realize it, he obviously doesn't literally mean that he would take a test during the 6th round, he is exaggerating his point to imply he just wanted to get the fight started already.

I dunno if it really is a natural thing, though. I'm sure a lot of people do it naturally, but I think a lot of people also have a natural 'weak' handshake, which sometimes, but not always, gets ironed out of them over time. I definitely agree that people approach it both consciously and unconsciously, though -- it depends on the person, the situation, etc. I think (at least in Western society) it's normally seen as a good thing for a man to give a 'firm' handshake -- not necessarily vice-like or stupidly strong, but firm. Most people will find it odd if a man gives you a very soft/weak handshake, because of the sort of conditioning people go through in society.

Then again, I have absolutely no knowledge of Sociology or any other relevant field, so I can't support any of that with evidence. Just the way I look at it, though. It's also possible that I'm looking way too deeply into a very simple matter, haha.

I like the detail of top boxers like Floyd and Leonard having 'girlish' handshakes, though -- it's a nice contradiction in a sport like boxing, which is often seen as a 'manly' area.

You imagine how crazy that would be, if it literally happened...

Doctors running in with needles in between rounds, be brutal to watch...

Pacquiao will expose himself when his 1st excuse after getting his ass handed to him will be "the blood tests weakened me". The second excuse will be "Floyd was bigger than me". The 3rd will be "I was distracted and didn't take the fight seriously ". The 4th will be "I didn't have my gloves". Keep in mind his face will be swollen and busted and he clearly will get out boxed because he never dealt with speed nor faced a style like Floyds ever in his career. No shot, weight drained on the decline fighters like Margarito who exchange windmills but the One himself Floyd. This is a whole different ball game for Manny . No more rigged bullfights in Texas where he has not been drug tested.

Hopefully, emmanuel says the exact same line after he beats marg. THere's no bullshitting around or pulling back such a public statement. People will be able to hold him by the neck if he says it in the post-fight, in-ring interview on HBO PPV.

I think his people will make sure he doesn't say it in the in-ring post-fight interview on PPV. Too hard to take that back... But if he's finally serious, good ****. Let's hope they stick to having no issues with testing this time.
