So I heard Pacquiao doesn't want to pay the sanctioning fees WBC and decided to give up the Lightweight belt he got from D.Diaz. I must say there's a lot of "top dogs" roaming around at LW division(J.M.Marquez, N.Campbell, J.Diaz, E.Valero?, and so forth). People would be thinking "Oh, he's running away from those topdogs at LW"... (same thinking I had) Then I realized it was wrong, Freddie Roach wanted to make Manny fight at higher weight than 135. Talking about dream match with R.Hatton(140) and a wetdream of everyone if it may come true, Mayweather at 147. He may be not coming back to face them at LW, but it takes tons of guts and courage to push on higher weight where competition there are much more challenging and much more legacy-wise. It's something more people needed to see rather than bash him(Manny) changing division to division. So I guess if Pacquiao-Marquez III does push on, maybe at 140? If those topdogs at LW really want to face money then they should follow him at 140. Discuss. No flame wars, especially S.Mags, Divac, JM22 and Chert.
I applaud him for sticking two fingers up at the WBC and refusing to be robbed blind. Ralf Rocchigiani should have forced them out of boxing. Permanently.
Here's the WBC top ten 135'ers 1 .- Edwin Valero (Venezuela) 2 .- Antonio Pitalua (Colombia) 3 .- Anthony Peterson (US) NABF 4 .- David Diaz (US) 5 .- Antonio Demarco (Mexico) 6 .- Randy Suico (Phil) OPBF 7 .- Juan Diaz (US) 8 .- Yuri Romanov (Belorussia) 9 .- Miguel Angel Huerta (Mexico) 10 .- Breidis Prescott (Colombia) So, I guess it's, Valero and Pitalua for the vacant strap Manny relinquishes??
I'd tell Sulaiman to go **** himself if I was Manny. Drop the title, The man makes the title, not the other way around.
