He may not have a choice, pac has already defeated many of top rank welterweights. Cotto-clottey-Margarito-Mosley... Unless he can sign berto in the future. Bradley might have to do for now.

Unless he doesn't fight bradley i can't consider him ducking any of the 3. He already beat cotto and marquez and everybody knows peterson loss to amir KING KHAN

Toss up between Marquez 4 and Peterson , Roach has been vocal about the fact Tim Bradley is a nobody in his opinion , given that Peterson just beat Khan id fancy that fight if Freddie has his way

I think if it comes down to bradley or peterson it would have to be bradley since bradley did beat peterson. Bradley is also top rank so it would be easier to make the fight.

Arum prefers June which would coincide with the PR parade in NY, in which he maybe leaning Cotto.

If JMM would be more realistic in his demands, I would prefer Pac-JMM 4, if not either Cotto or Bradley is fine.

I think that obviously the Marquez fight is the one that should be the first pick. The third fight was supposed to settle business, and it's still not settled. I think it's a blow against Pac if he can't do that definitively.

Bradley would be a close second on my list, with Cotto coming in third. Cotto did show some improvements in the Margarito fight, although it's not enough to persuade me he can beat Pacquiao. I don't think Bradley has a great chance either, but Pac's already beaten Cotto and done so emphatically. I'd prefer to see him beat someone new instead of going back to someone he's demolished once.

Of course, Cotto is probably the bigger money fight, so Arum might choose that route, unless he wants to milk Cotto and his fans for as long as possible first.

Peterson is last, imo. I think he has to at least rematch Khan first before he can even think about a Pac fight, and I think that without the ref's penalty points Khan should have won that fight. Also, I think Peterson has the least chance out of the 4. I don't think Pacquiao's promotional team are going to do anything stupid though like start calling Peterson "young hungry lion" and jump on him because he's briefly the flavor of the moment. :tong

These are both good points. Conceivably Arum could go about building Bradley up, and there's been some effort from HBO to do that, (see the way they tried to make Bradley-Alexander a big deal) but on the other hand Bradley has a good reputation right now, he's starting to move towards the end of his 20s and who knows how long he has before his body demands a move up to a higher weight?

Bradley has to get into fantastic shape to hit 140, and it's nothing something he's going to be able to do forever. Bradley's been flirting off and on with the welterweight division for awhile, according to boxrec he was havign fights above the 140 limit years ago. If he does move up, then he's going to be an even more natural candidate for a Pac fight, as a proven fighter, used to be The Man at 140, and then fighting in the same weight class as Pac...

I really want to see Marquez-Bradely, so I'm all for Pac-Peterson, with the winners facing unless Pac-May can be made later in the year. Knowing Mayweather he'll want a tune up fight after prison though, someone like Robert Guerrero, which is bs. Or maybe Money will go after the Berto-Ortiz winner which would be ok.

I want to see another Cotto revenge match. He always wins the rematch.

Let's be real, Pac caught Cotto at the most opportune time in his career and also demanded a catch weight. Mix that with Cotto not fighting smart and thinking he didn't need a corner or real training camp to bulldozz the smaller man, cost him dearly.

In a rematch, Cotto will systematically take apart Pacquiao. No doubt about it from my perspective.

I think Arum will match Marquez-Bradley and use the Pac fight to lure Peterson to sign with him.

i like all those fights, 2 fighters in that group could cause a major upset.well it would be hard to upset pacman if you cant ko him. but it's some styles in there that would trouble manny for sure. my order would be .....

    1 bradly
    2 peterson
    3 cotto
    4 marquez
