Pacquiao to Receive Fighter of the Year Award

    Los Angeles, CA -- Reports from reliable sources indicate that Filipino ring idol,Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao will receive the ”Fighter of the Year Award” from the World Boxing Hall of Fame.

    The award is in recognition of the many accomplishments of Pacquiao in the months past, including wins over Mexican legends and future Hall Fame awardees, Eric Morales and Marco Antonio Barerra.

    Th award will be presented on Saturday evening (Los Angeles time) in a lavish ceremony at the Double Tree Hotel along Vinyard Avenue in Ontario California.

    The reception starts at 5:30 PM followed by a formal dinner. The presentation of the awards follows immediately.

    Accepting the award in behalf of the Pacman will be Pacquiao reps, Michael Koncz and Winchell Campos.

    Who the **** presents a fighter of the year award before the year is over? This seems like a bogus award.

    For beating Solis and Barrera? PBF could end up beating DLH and Hatton? Cotto could beat Judah and Mosley? I could see Pacman getting it in 2006. but not 07.

    I agree that Pacman should not get the award this year. But I also don't agree that Pavlik should get the award. It should be the winner of Floyd-Hatton or Cotto-Mosley. I almost forgot, include Vasquez in the mix.
