Sources close to the situation have informed us that 8-division world champion Manny Pacquiao has been served to appear at a deposition in order to refute or confirm allegations made by Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach that world-class Strength & Conditioning Coach Alex Ariza supplied him with "mystery drinks" that may have contained performance enhancing drugs. According to one source, the deposition is scheduled to take place just two days prior to Pacquiao's May 2 showdown with undefeated pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather. We're told that Pacquiao was extremely unhappy to receive the news that he must once again testify to defend himself due to the allegations made by Roach. Though it's unclear why Roach would make accusations that seemingly put his own fighter, as well as himself, under the microscope during the height of their Hall of Fame careers, he indeed made the explosive allegations early last year.

"I don't get along with the guy, and one of the reasons why he doesn't work for me anymore is because I think he's a little shady, you know. He used to give Manny a drink every day before we worked out and I asked him, 'What's in that drink,' and he would never tell me. And I said, 'I need to know what's in that drink because, you know, you're giving it to my fighter and if something goes wrong, I'm gonna get the blame.' In my opinion, he's a little shady, so he's with that camp now and it doesn't surprise me that happened," Roach commented in a video interview back in January of 2014. Immediately after Roach's comments were made public, Ariza quickly denied the allegations and filed a defamation lawsuit against Roach.

It's amazing how these comments can be uses in a lawsuit. I mean, what Roach stated is perfectly reasonable. How the F can Ariza refuse to tel the lead trainer what he was giving Manny in drinks? I mean, seriously? WTF? and then the court system allows Ariza to be able to take this to court? Maybe he should've been a little more upfront with what the f he was using in those shakes

'legally' maybe but if a lead trainer or fighter asks and he refuses to tell them, then i would question the decision to keep him around. Roach's comments are totally reasonable.

  11. Roach was saying that Ariza was a shady person because he refused to answer questions. I doubt Roach is stupid enough to imply that his guy was being fed PEDs. But his statements were dumb and clearly an attempt to make a personal attack on Ariza, definitely.

If i'm lead trainer, i ask what he's giving my fighter and he refuses to tell me, i'm firing him. How do i know it's not PEDs? why take the risk?

Weird huh? Why should Pacquiao have to "defend himself" when he's being called as a witness? :think
