Pacquiao v Marquez III......on second thoughts.....

Pacs skin is made of something else according to JMM fans thats why it wasnt bruised like JMMs face

 

Judging is hard enough for me when I get to watch the fight more than once. I can't imagine how hard it is for the official judges. I'm a new fan... and the (seeming) craziness of the ten pt must system makes boxing more interesting to me -- it's so different. I haven't scored a lot of fights yet. But I love scoring fights.

There are so many threads on this fight, I like this one.

Also.. I think Pacquiao won, but I'll wait until I have more posts before jumping in on that, maybe when I'm not some unknown noob.

Also I helped build a new site that collects fan scores for a fight -- we only have a few scores for Pacquiao v Marquez, but we have rounds 6, 9, and 10 as the most controversial so far. Agree first instinct is usually right. However watching a second time with sound off can be valuable I think.

I felt that angle was pretty hillarious.

 

Because most people thought at this weight that Pac would steam roll JMM, whenever JMM did well or held his own, this ended up giving a boost into the minds of many viewers that JMM did even better than he actually did.

I scored the fight a draw, but there were two very close rounds I gave to Pac, that it wouldn't shock me if someone gave them to JMM.

But do remember, JMM ended up looking like the Elephant Man for a reason.

watching rd 9 now on the HBO replay.. Justify it for pacqiuao.. He lost that rd.

Nah..Pac and May fight is over...but the fued brought drama to the sport!..It was good while it lasted!..I always say u cant MAKE agreat champion by matchmaking and putting them in the rings with bums, cuz then a shot fighter like Marquez wil prove they werent meant to be in that position..You have to put them in their with the best and if its meant to be, they will still be standing yrs to come...I think Pac would have been a decent challenge to Floyd, but I guess it wasnt his destiny to be in the ring with Floyd..Pac is nice...I feel bad after that rematch with Marquez, cuz if he loses again, its gonna be worse career wise..Bhop, Roy Jones, Pac, Mosley should consider retirement when it gets to this point cuz it can ruin a legacy!

 

After rewatching a third time gave it to Jmm. First tIme gave it to Pacman, second a draw, and with the hbo replay Jmm won 6 rounds to 5 with 1 even. Pacman didnt land half of the punches connected they claimed he connected in most rounds. Jmm definitely landed more powerpunches too.

 

On the replay I scored Marquez winning by one round (with one round being even). Honestly nearly every round was close and anyone screaming robbery is whistle blowing for the sake of it. Yes, as boxing fans too often we see actual "robberies" or outcomes that we don't agree with but this was far from that. More than anything we got an unexpectedly closely competitive fight from a guy we might have overestimated against a guy we underestimated.
