Naz all the time, one of thee hardest hitting FW of all time. He ran into a prime Barerra, but even MAB was cautious of Hameds power throughout the fight
    Seriously underrated nowadays

    Naz Underrated??

You're picking him over Pacquiao makes a mockery of those claims.

Barrera was the first elite guy Hamed fought and he got made to look stupid by him.Contrast Hamed's display with what Manny did to Barrera a couple of years later to give an indication of the difference in their quality.

Pacman would outspeed, out fight and flat out outclass Naseem, probably stopping him mid rounds.

Hamed was a great showman and huge puncher but Manny is an atg fighter and already a legend. That's the difference.

You have some nerve criticising someone post whilst claiming Manny would "probably" stop a guy who had a great chin.

Manny UD. Too fast, too many punches for Hamed to deal with, will probably be put on his ass a couple of times while trying to leap out of range.

When did Hamed prove he had a great chin??

When he was floored by the mighty Daniel Alecia?

When he was yo-yo'd by a past prime Kevin Kelley?

When he was dropped by glass jawed Augie Sanchez (even though it wasn't called)?

If such alumani can cause Hamed such problems I shudder to think what a whirlwind like Manny would do to him.

If Hamed beat a Barrera,Morales,Junior Jones or yes a Pacquiao then I'd believe the Brit based hype about him but he got whipped by one and didn't meet the others so frankly I dont.

Oh and I said he'd "probably" stop him mid rounds because it's a fantasy fight and no one knows for ****ing sure what would really happen.

You've just exposed you're lack of knowledge for all to see, well done you.

How about you go check all of Hameds knock downs and tell me how he was knocked down. Infact nevermind I'll tell you, there's a difference between poor balance and a poor chin. Now that I've informed you of this concept run along and tell your friends........ friend........ cat.

    The old poor balance chestnut.

This **** has been trotted out for a decade to excuse all of Hameds knockdowns.Any old excuse will do to hide the fact his chin wasn't that great to keep the myth of Hamed alive.

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tt_IkMTIi8E[/ame]

Check out the knock down at 2:30.

He got tagged and stunned with a right and legitimately floored with the follow up right hand all while both feet were set solidly on the canvas, balance had nothing to do with it.

There you go I've just shown and told you about a legitimate Hamed knockdown (against a green journeyman no less) so lets see you try and refute that even though the evidence is there for all to see-his chin isn't even remotely "great".

But do run along and carry on like a know all, smug *****.It's makes it even better when you get shown up for being wrong...wrong...wrong.

People bring up the Barrera comparison, but styles make fights, Barrera managed to win because he boxed defensively something Pac would not do. Hamed is also a very good counter puncher and has massive power, Pacquaio is susceptable to counter punchers. Pacquaio is also open to right hands, Hamed has a great 1, where as Barrera is very left handed.

Barrera also beat a past prime Hamed who'd stopped training by that stage, which documentary footage backs up. Hamed also fought a better Barrera, MAB's camp was disrupted with forrest fires against Pacquaio.

Food for thought......waits for *******s and Barrera fans to commence their bitchfest

Whats your definition of elite? He fought something like 9-10 champions? Countless top5 rated opponents. Bungu achieved as much as MAB at 122. Vasquez a 3 weight champion

He beat Ingle who beat Junior Jones

I don't want to down play each win but come on.

Bungu was 33 and having his first fight at 126 (although it was a very good performance by Hamed)

Vasquez was 37 and past his best by a fair bit .

Ingle was a decent enough fighter (and a good Hamed win again) but the Junior Jones he beat was but a shadow of the danger man who beat Barrera in 96-97 and was a proposed Hamed opponent at that time.

I don't dispute Hamed was a good, dangerous fighter but Barrera was a prime, elite top 10-15 p4p fighter when they met (and ranked higher after this) and Naseem's poor showing in what in many ways was a legacy fight for him can't make me rank him or favour him in any way against Manny Paquiao.

On that basis no he hasn't beat a top10 P4P fighter. But he did beat top fighters in their own right and plenty were prime. Plus he didn't just win he was completely dominant and destroying opposition. Hamed wasn't just a puncher either, he was slick with a very defensive impressive radar which made fighters miss in his younger days. He was also fast and accurate. You can't judge a fighter on 1 fight. If we judged Morales solely on his first fight with Barrera he wouldn't rate too highly because he got the crap knocked out of him, Barrera certainly gave Morales more of a beating than he did Hamed, but Morales in turn hit him more, still a robbery
