Its stupid saying pac beat barrera so he beats hamed.

Since when has boxing been so black and white?

Completely different styles = completely different fight.

If you think cos pac beat barrera then he beats naz your a ****in idiot.

Boxings not that straightforward, different styles equals a completely different fight.

Well, I can't speak for everybody else like me who thinks that Manny would have stood a reasonable chance of knocking Hamed into the topsoil like an old tent peg, but I'd be willing enough to wager that they've based it on more than Pacquaio doing the same to Barrera. You might want to credit people with a bit more intelligence, which is to say that they've probably observed that Hamed's poor defence, low ring IQ, and poor balance combined with a probable speed disadvantage of both hand and foot are all likely to outweigh the threat of his power and unorthodoxy (imo a kinder way of saying that he often looked as though he was suffering from some sort of spinal malady). The latter two mean that he can't be ruled out, of course, especially seeing as how Pacquiao of 2003/4 wasn't quite as distilled as the present incarnation. The chance that Hamed could wing one in from nowhere on Pacquaio's blind side is always there, though Pacquiao has looked quite durable above flyweight to me.

The Ingle style though has never impressed me that much at the highest level and I'd be surprised if it was enough here to deter a tasmanian devil like Pacquiao.

It's an interesting matchup. I feel that Manny would come into the fight better prepared. Naz was known for surrounding himself with yes men and trained however he wanted whenever he wanted. He may come into the fight and just try to wing it as usual. I see manny outworking him through 12 rounds but Naz would have his moments and might even make Manny's knees buckle a few times. Very tough to gauge though as they've never had an opponent that even closely resembles the other's style.

Hamed is so ridiculously overrated by some. Pac would make him look stupid. Hed pick him apart like a surgeon. It would be criminal. The first time Pac stepped up and fought a real threat, Barrera (and remember when he fought Barrera everyone thought Barrera was damaged goods from the Morales fight and was actually moving up in weight to fight Hamed, so Hamed was kind of trying to cherry pick there) he got his ass absolutely and royally handed to him and in such fashion that he only had one more underwhelming fight against a total nobody (in which he was dropped) before retiring and becoming a 200 lb ex-con.

Some people here cited that the Barrera-Hamed fight was close.

Perhaps in the scorecards it was, but bear in mind that Barrera got a point deduction which he deliberately took upon himself knowing he was way ahead on the scorecards.

Plus the fact taht in no time during the fight was Barrera in any trouble nor losing in anybody's scorecards whereas Hamed has been hurt in many occassions.

So overall, that fight was almost a mismatch. Barrera totally imposed his will on Hamed in that fight.

Pacquiao by TKO in about 7 rounds. Naz's chin keeps him in it, but he has no idea of how to get his skull out of the way of Pacquiao's blizzards of punches. This is a complete domination, even more one-sided than Pacquiao-Barrera 1. A guy with as shoddy a defence as Hamed is NEVER even going to be competitive with someone as fast and furious as Pacquiao. Pacquiao is no Billy Hardy or Jose Badillo.

    Naz knocks Pacman out
Barrerra couldnt do it and boxed cautiously (and for good reason) Yet Manny "no defence" PacMan is going to KO Hamed, keep on dreaming.

Somebody said Hamed lost to the one great fighter he fought?

    what about Pacquiao?

Pacquiao has beaten three great fighters you imbecile. At least three - Barrera, Morales and Marquez.

Hamed got dominated the only time he ever fought an HOF-calibre fighter.

    Try again '****.

The question still stands, Hamed lost to ONE ATG,
    Pacman lost to who.....?

    Barrera dominated Hamed.

He fought sensibly but it's not as if he was running from Hamed either. He got the better of virtually every exchange they had, landed the much harder, cleaner punches and physically man handled Naz to complete his humiliation.

Paquiao is a special fighter. He has flaws but many attributes that far outweigh them.

Hamed by comparison has some attributes (namely power, speed and reflexes) but many flaws that lessen the overall package and make him fall far short of the "legendary" status he always claimed for himself.

I assume the great fighter you're alluding to Pacquiao losing to is Morales?

A highly competitive fight that he twice avenged with stoppage victories.

The way Manny came back from his loss and the way Hamed dealt with his really shows the stark difference between the two.

    So again Paquiao destroys Hamed.
