Both Armstrong and Pac were relentless pressure fighters - but very different in the way they went about it.

Armstrong obviously liked to stay on the inside - whereas Pac attacked from the outside with quick flurries. I think it's fair to say, that Pac was a high-volume pressure fighter... would you not agree?

It's all relative. Pacquiao's strengths were speed, accuracy, agility. He's not in Armstong's class in terms of volume, pressure.
Ross threw plenty of punches himself, as many as other fighters who beat Pacquiao.

So the Pac who manhandled Margarito is not even in the same class as Armstrong, when it comes to volume punching and applying pressure? Ok...

Surprised at the general reaction. Personally I think Ross would show him up. I'm unsure as to who Pacquiao beat that had the skill and toughness of Ross

    Yeah. I'm surprised too
I don't know if Ross would show him up or not but I certainly see he has the right tools to pound out a clear decision.
... and I happen to think Pacquiao is one of the greatest ever.

If Morales could handle Manny, I don't see why Barney Ross couldn't repeat that.

I was thinking the same thing.

The only question for me is whether Pacquiao improved after the first Morales fight and we're talking around 135-140 in this matchup which was probably Pacquiao at the peak of his powers.

I definitely wouldn't rule Ross out though.

Pac annihilates him in less than 6 , the speed alone is a different sport.

Everytime I see anything on Ross I think about how he was a friend to Jack Ruby, who shot Oswald 2 days after he killed Kennedy. I read about this once, that is how I knew it. Saw an article on it in the paper.

Definitely possible, I watched the later rounds of YouTube still was a beating. Barney had a lot of pride.

well he has not beat Spence, but he has beat Thurman since we spoke on this topic last...do you still feel the same? I have a feeling Pac will end up top 20 by a majority by the time his career is done? Still not sure where I would place or him but I almost feel like top 25-30 is a lock at this stage.

Top 30 then IMO. Boxing has way too many great fighters though, and I don't see him breaking the Top 20.
