This is absolutely true. The reason PPV prices have gone up is alot due to Mayweather. Raising PPV prices was one of his missions on his quest to make as much money as he could, and I vaguely remember an interview of him saying as much. De La Hoya v Mayweather cost $55 which was a record for the time. He had little to do with that, but in his next fight vs Hatton it cost as much as $65 in some states and that was all him. That didn't sell as much as it should have in the US, considering it was built-up for 2 years and they were rivals so it kind of backfired. When he came back the Marquez fight cost $50, and then when he started to get his fanbase up due to the rivalry with Pac he began exploiting it again raising the price to $55 for Mosley and then $60 for Ortiz and Cotto. If Canelo is next I wouldn't be surprised if it's $65 to exploit the Mexican fans who will want to see this fight, then $75 for Pac.

I know it's a **** fight, but I doubt QueenBeeTickets is the official retailer for the fight. You might as well included a hyperlink from Floyd Mayweather promotions.

Not if you take advantage of the rebates: There is a 40 dollar rebate if you buy a 12 pack of tecate beer (about 10 bucks). . . I think in some states you don't even have to buy the 12-pack - you just gotta fill out a survey or some ****.

Also, I believe there is some other kind of rebate being offered too. . .

But without the rebates, yeah, the 55 dollar price tag is redunkulous. . It's even more shitty cause if you want it in HD (who the hell wouldn't?), it's TEN MORE BONES! 65 dollars! Or basically about 42 of HER MAJESTY'S POUNDS!

The Morales fight was in a different TIME. Now, Pac can't afford to lose. FFS, after the last JMM fight a lot of fans turned their back on Pac. People are realizing that most of the guys he fights are coming off devastating losses and/or are old.

Pac loses, he is done. He hasn't had a great fight since Cotto, and I doubt people can take much more of the Clottey, Mosley, JMM type fights he has been delivering and continue to want to pay to see him. He's not bringing much excitement.

In fact, I'm willing to predict that even if he beats Bradley, but does it in an unexciting fashion, or gets a controversial win, his stock will drop even further down.
