true, pac wasn't QUITE at his best. unfortunately i think the lessons he learned since that fight would edge castillo. but not by much
Seems everyone whos posted so far agrees that this would be close however it went. Whats interesting is that Pacquiao's more or less not been hit in his last several fights, other than by Marquez, who isn't as big and strong as Castillo. Marquez had Pac hurt on a couple of occassions, especially with that body shot (the 8th round i think? Pac himself said he was ready to go then, but Marquez never followed up). How would pac deal with the brutal body attack of someone as strong and relentless as Castillo?
this is the question... and no, we have NO idea based on the hatton fight. 1) because hatton never really cracked pac real well to the body 2) P4P castillo was one of the best body punchers of his generation. for my money, IF castillo got to him it'd change things. i just don't see him getting to him
Pac hasn't been visibly hurt since Larios had him on the ropes. Get real, Marquez never had Pac in any trouble. all he's ever done was complete a few combos on Pac's head. Castillo is a great fighter but Pac has one thing up his sleeve. He's mexican kryptonite.
Pac TKO. His footspeed and offense will punish Castillo whilst being out of range for most of the fight. As for the bodypunching, MAB is one of the best bodypunchers in the game...you have to be in range to land bodyshots...Pacs feet are too fast for that.
