Chavez`s body attack could make Pac gas, plus Pac will be getting hit more in this fight than any of his others.

 

Chavez will take less shots because of his briliant ability to slip, Pac took more punches in his fights than Chavez did.

 

Slipping someone as fast and perpetual like Pac would be very hard

 

Taylor didn`t outbox Chavez, Julio was countering Meldrick on the outside with his straight right a punch Pac was open to because when he jabbed he left his left low, that`s why Meldrick started brawling on the inside, Pac is nowhere near as hard to hit as Whitaker and Oscar had a reach advantage at welter, Pac had much more success against the older De La Hoya at welter, it wasn`t Julio`s natural weight and maybe Pac was better than him against taller fighters save the way Roger M. took a beating twice in that fight, I watched a film study and Chavez dealt with Roger`s shoulder roll better than Pac did v Floyd by using the left hook, I don`t count the Randall fight because Julio was finished, in my humble opinion.

 

Indeed it would be a great fight!

 

Julio was able to do that v Taylor plus landing counters.

 

Duran would have torn him apart just like the way he operated in Montreal, no way could Pac take the punches Ray did! The left hook that hurt Ray in Rd 2 was just as hard as the right hand JMM put Pac away with except Manny walked onto that punch adding force to it.

A large part of this match would be like this because the lead and counter right was one of Julio`s best weapons.

 

This is a great matchup...on paper. However, I think people are overrating Pacquiao while underestimating JCC. If El Terrible could beat Pacquiao, I think JCC is a safe bet to do so as well. Prime for prime JCC wins 7 out of 10 fights, maybe more.

 

Lesser mortals have beaten Pac, no reason to believe Chavez would not have been able to do better.

 

A good chin stops good hitting.

JC Superstar had the best chin of any fighter I've seen.

These are great tactics to use v Pac, they wouldn`t work so good v Chavez, the straight right was mentioned and that`s a key punch for Julio in this fight, Chavez used some of these tactics well against high volume punchers like Rosario and Taylor, the latter threw a lot more.

 

Sr was smarter and bigger. He was no Margarito. Sr ravages Manny and wins by mercy KO. If Horn could give Pac problems. What do you think Sr does.
