I think a rematch is a great idea. I hope Cotto can beat Margarito first though.

Trust me team Manny would love for Cotto to face Antonio first in a very tough fight. Then they would rush things again...

  5. How good do you think, for instance, Floyd would look fighting at 130lbs?

Just had a chance to watch the video. Great clip, but man did I feel sorry for Cotto watching that again. Such a hellacious beating.

    Pac vs Barrera in 2003

Pac moving up from 122lbs to 126lbs facing the lineal champion of the division.

Pac threw 76 punches per round (MUCH MORE than the Cotto fight)
Pac knocked down and TKO'd a bigger guy
Pac took a bigger guy's punches without even getting stunned

    :think

Pac's been a beast in every division he's been in. Unlike Floyd who looked rather ordinary against a slow ODLH at 154.:good

All I can say is Pacquiao is a great fighter.

Cotto is the kind of individual we all want to see succeed. I never understood why Puerto Riccanes celebrate Tito Trinidad and Juanma Lopez but not Miguel Cotto. Although they are great fighters, they were boys seeking attention and limelight. Cotto is a man's man. Honest, hard-working, and no bull-****. When he wins, he wins big. When he loses, he loses with honor. Neither Pacquaio nor Mayweather have consistently fought fighters to which they lose the style advantage to.

Cotto might not be the greatest fighter ever, but Lampley said it best: "A high quality fighter, and a high quality individual."

I feel for Cotto's loss in his father, and may he do right by himself and his family.
