Pacquiao vs Cotto or Mayweather vs Gatti????

Corrales was a very courageous and very exciting fighter for sure, but for ability I go with Cotto every time. I just think he had better skills, was more well-rounded, and on his best night he was a more effective fighter.


FYI, if Corrales really is "your man" etc, you should probably realize that he only beat Casamayor once, Casa beat him twice.

 

i think cotto was slightly the better fighter so i'd have to say pac v cotto was more impressive. i think gatti was a good win for floyd at the time cos people wanted to see the fight and gatti was a LWW champion and a warrior, but looking back now i would have to say gatti was made for floyd. cant blame floyd for having the tools he has though. May v Gatti is my favourite but pac vs cotto is the more impressive of the two :good

I'm just saying we don't have to put one fighter down to lift another up. And issues like these get spun easily. Corrales deserves more respect then that. This is a man who unified to be linear Champ at 135. Cotto has never been linear champ of anything. Cotto has always been a titlist.

Well Cotto was never effective enough to be a Champion at 140 or 147. Corrales was at 135.

 

I don't really understand how someone can go around saying "Corrales is my man", and acting all offended at anyone saying they preferred another fighter's ability, when you don't even know who he beat and who beat him. Some fan you are! atschatschatsch

That's fine. Just know the history of the fighter your talking about. Look at how he did things that Cotto with all his ability couldn't. Then can you make that statement using logic or just your feeling?

PBF looks to be more effective and have a better range of things he can do in the ring. But Pac is putting in that work and doing it. Corrales already put that work in the history books.
