True but the fight aint gone happen at Welter weight though...A catchweight is going to be the solution if the fight was to happen...I seriously doubt Roach will let Manny take the fight at 147.
Pacquiao's given a lot of weight away already, no matter what Roach says. Also, Cotto was a LWW before, so he shouldn't have as much trouble sinking as, say, Mosley.
Yeah, right. Pac's the major draw and the #1p4p. If Cotto wants to cash in on a fight with Pac, he's the one that's going to be making compromises.
If you want Cotto to win, then the fight should be at 147. If you want Pacquiao to win then it should be 143-144. No one really knows how effective Cotto will be at that weight, ever since he became a welter he became this beast. The questions are: Will Cotto be weight drained at 143-144? Will Pacquiao be as effective at 143-144 as he is at 140?
Actually, one of the main reasons Cotto moved to 147 is because of the problems he started to have making 140. Plus cotto hasn't made 140 since 2006 and is pretty big for 147. Notice Cotto is a better fighter at 147 because he and his camp said he was weight cutting more than training on his skills. No way he can make 140 again. He and Pac will probably meet at a catch weight if they fight.
Cotto said he can fight him at any weight so there's no reason to beleive he can't, besieds... Didn't he weigh in at about 145 against Jennings? He's got plenty of time (after he whoops Clottey) to effectively drop a pound or 2 But honestly From Pacs POV 147 is the sweeter deal since they'll be able to fight for Cottos title, and he'll make history being the 1st 7 division champ So either deal makes since andnis fine with me, I just can't wait to c these 2 warriors go to war
no lightweight talk when cotto vs pac but hate on floyd vs potential pac fight. Trolls. Cotto have always been a big frame guy too.
