its the negotations. its just normal and some of us are just making a big deal out of it. just wait a few more weeks and when all the dust are settled, we would have a good fight on our way. personally, i don't like this fight because pac and cotto are my two favorite fighters but as a fight fan, i would like to see how this fight unfolds.

I'll give Hatton credit cause unlike Pacquiao, Hatton never once ask Collazo to fight at a catch weight so instead Hatton fought Collazo in his first fight at ww in a ww limit.

The orgs always have the option to force the champ to put his belt on the line when he's fighting within the division. Even though it's a catchweight, the fight is still taking place at WW. Technically, Cotto's last fight was a voluntary defense. The WBO could easily make Pac the mando, and force Cotto to put his belt on the line that way as well.

Cotto didn't really called out Pacquiao at all. Was he interested in the Pacquiao fight? Of Course and these questions was after when Arum started this by wanted to do Pacquiao vs Cotto showdown in which he said it's a dream fight for him.

What the **** are you talking about? That quote clearly shows that it was Cotto's idea to have the fight at 145. Team Pac had already stated that the Hoya fight was one shot deal and that he wouldn't fight at 147 again. Cotto then comes out and says he would fight him at 145. Pac agreed to fight at 147, and now Cotto is trying to pull a fast one with his belt in order to get the fight at 147.

Good point....Cotto always said he wants to fight the best out there and whoever his company puts in front of him....he will fight them.
Arum started voicing the Pacquiao Cotto idea hoping it would grow legs and after Cotto's win over Clottey
Pacman leaned over to Arum and told him to make this fight happen.
There are just way too many exigencies on the Pussiao side !!!!

If Cotto were to force the Pacquiao camp to his demand that if they want the title on the line they have to fight at 147, then Cotto would look like a negotiating genius. If it does'nt work that way he gets called an excuse maker and petty.

Well first off When then Pacquiao agree with fight Cotto at 147 pounds? And umm again get with the program Cotto said if they want a catchweight then it be at 145 pounds. Cotto said that after Pacquiao team made it clear that Cotto or Mosley fight WILL BE A CATCH WEIGHT VS PACQUIAO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cotto isn't trying to change any of the terms of the agreement...
last I heard it is Pussiao who was trying to get him weightdrained at 143 and now wants the belt on the line after telling the WBO that their would be money heading their way....wink , wink !!!

It's funny how the ones most critical about Cotto winning "vacant paper titles" are amongst the first to criticize him for not wanting to pay a $400,000 sanctioning fee to defend that very same title.

The bottom line is the belt means more to Manny than it does to Cotto since Manny is chasing history in hopes of being the he first fighter to win a title in seven different weight classes. With Cotto taking the short end of the 65/35 split already, you can't blame him for not wanting to bend over backwards and give in to Team Pacquiao's every demand.
