SRL's heat ???? He ran like a dog, he'd allready tasted a prime Duran in Montreal & in his own words never wanted too feel that sort of pain again. JJC never moved his ****in head, Duran would work it like a speed ball. I'am a big JJC fan & i'am proberbly the only one on this forum that went too the Chavez/Taylor 1 fight, i flew 12K miles round trip too see it, such as i'am a big JJC fan it don't blind me too the obvious that Duran would have mastered JCC in every department. Not that you would understand as i said earlier your comments only prove that you know ****-all about boxing, go back too ice skating or show jumping, you'll be happy there.
Watch the ****ing fight you worthless piece of ****. Heat? SRL was running and clowning him. Nothing I'd describe as 'heat' like SRL put on Hearns.
Duran. By stoppage. Painful stoppage. As much as I love Pac and rate him very, very highly, peak Duran was as good as anyone to ever lace up the gloves. And I mean anyone. This would be a bridge too far for Manny. Peak Duran convincingly beat Ray Leonard FFS!!
Just to save anyone taking Bernie4366 seriously the bother of replying to him: He thinks Jose Luis Castillo would STOP Duran at 135. Desist feeding the troll now!
I'll never ever forget that night in the Hilton, my mates thought i was nuts flying all the way over for it, 22 hours of flying hell but jeezus it'll stay with me forever. My yank cousin ****ed off & left me 30 seconds before the bell thinkin we'd get battered by the mex'szz so the gutless ***** missed JJC pulling off the miricle HAH did i ****in howl. I still watch that fight 2 times a year & i've never got the scoring the same once. Correct stoppage as well & i still don't know why they keep bitching about the 2 seconds left, but the noise was unreal. happy days:happy
A prime mark of a boxing stupidity would be saying Pac having one win over an average titlist at lightweight is better then nearly a decade of dominance of the lightweight division, which is what Duran had. You have well and truly checked that box :verysad
haha i remember that. to be fair though, after getting **** on by the whole forum he said that jcc would stop duran. still an idiotic statement but not AS stupid
:goodsee that was one of those amazing fights that you see early on that hooks you into boxing for life. i was PISSED about the stoppage for years but after countless viewings i understand it. depending on my mood i may disagree with it cause taylor is one of my favourite fighters ever but i don't think it was fixed and it's a judgement call. it tainted my opinion of JCC until I started going through his fights and examining his career and i've become a big fan of the man since. That performance, his patience and the SUBTLE damage he inflicted on taylor is a testimony to the greatest pressure fighter ever! Still, after soooo many viewings i never have scored it that close...it's always been taylor by a few points
You forgot the part where SRL was smacking him at will and Duran couldn't touch him, and took his ball, robbed his fans and went home :| before he got KTFO. That part is kinda important too... :thumbsup
I will officially state here and now that Duran beats JLC. JCC, however, beats him like a rented mule and makes him quit.
And you base this on what? Him getting knocked out by DeJesus, nutpunching Buchanan to death or the scores and scores of HOF level fighters he beat? Oh wait..... :think
