wtf, GGG is only 160 lb fighter, he's not Tyson or Wlad for crying out loud. Cotto has fought at 160 and guess who destroyed him? Pac?

for sure GGG is stronger and bigger but Pac can make 150 and GGG can go down to 154... This is not like totally crazy, it can happen.

people are talking about GGG as if he's 225 lbs, he's only 160. If he come down to 154, it's a realistic fight...

Manny can step in at 150, Gannady would make weight at 154 but hydrate to 160+..

as you say, Manny is much faster and GGG would need to be patient. I do, however, not believe that GGG will KO Manny the first instance he lands, he's human and he's a 160 lb fighter; he's not Iron Mike Tyson. Manny would need to block his punches and avoid clean power shots... If GGG lands occasional shots but not clean shots, Manny can handle it. What i would be banking on is on a cautious Manny who would be moving a lot and blocking GGG punches often. One clean power shot and Manny can go down but lets not make this out to be a heavyweight vs a welter, it's closer than this.

When Manny fought DLH and Cotto, he was able to avoid getting hit and i would argue GGG is a bit slower than these two. He has more power, a stronger chin and more of a volume puncher but he would need to catch Manny, with his feet and hands... will not be easy to do. Cotto, who is faster than GGG, hardly was able to land vs Manny; he caught Manny with 1 single good left hook, that's it.

also, GGG would be made to come down to 154 so he may not be at his strongest weight either. I think it's more competitive than you guys think...

Typhoon doing shades of Pacdbest here. This was how Pacdbest sounded back then so i'm not going to be the one to say he's wrong.

I was going to present a constructive counter to the TS's ludicrous claim that a Pacquiao-GGG fight would be in any way competitive..... Then I remembered how those weirdo Pac****s are impervious to reason, so what is the point??

I'm sorry man, but Gennady might be the strongest puncher P4P going in the sport today. He doesn't need a power punch to land flush in order to stun his opponents. I've seen him hurt his opposition with lead shots, and these are full-fledged MW's. He's also a very violent body puncher, and I'd imagine he'd use his brute strength to outmuscle Pacman on the inside and try to nail him with some brutal body combinations if he can pin him onto the ropes.

Now Gennady has mentioned he's fought many times as a 154 lber ( in the AM's,) and has no problem making the weight. IF (and it's a big IF) he maintains that level of power going down to 154, I just don't see how Manny would be able to make it to the final bell.

Manny is an ATG, but that's too big a task for someone as small as him. Gennady is in his prime and while I'm critical of the level of opposition he's faced up to this point, it still doesn't dilute the great work he's been doing the past couple years. The guy looks like a wrecking machine.

If Pacman beat Floyd and ended up in a competitive (doesn't have to win) fight with Golovkin, I'll be the first to say Pacman deserves consideration as one of the 10 greatest fighters who ever lived.

Oh boy.... Pac's own trainer just said GGG is P4P #1. Fight will never, ever, ever, ever, ever happen. If Manny got in the ring with him and made it to round 3 I would still move him up my ATG list just for taking the challenge just like I don't knock Duran for getting his head removed from his body by Hearns.

Why is this guy comparing GGG to Marg? He must have never seen either man fight. I like Pac, stop making it so hard to be a fan with this type of nonsense! You're making real fans look bad.

Thank you for saving me the bother of writing that!!

ANY version of Manny gets hammered by GGG, never mind the way past prime 2015 version.

Pac's head would literally fly out of the venue if Golovkin landed a right hand on him like the one Marquez did. He was wobbled by Bradley for goodness sake. Bradley couldn't punch his way through cobwebs.

Stranger things have happened I suppose but I don't like Pacquiao's chances here

That comment regarding Tim Bradley's "Power" (or obvious lack of) made me .

I just had this image of "Desert Storm" getting tangled in a couple of cobwebs... and pleading for GGG to bust him out!

Whilst I wholeheartedly agree that of the two (Manny and Floyd) Manny would be the one to take the fight, two things would have to happen before Pacquiao would fight GGG.

    1. Freddie Roach would have to not be part of Manny's camp (Freddie wants Manny to have nothing to do with a GGG fight..and he makes no secret of that).

    2. GGG would have to agree to "Boil down" to a "Mannyweight" (which would be less than 154... 150 or less in this case), as Cotto and Oscar agreed to do.
