The Manny Pacquiao vs. Golden Boy and Mayweather lawsuit is still pending in federal court in Nevada, and Manny Pacquiao won a small victory today when a portion of Golden Boy's motion to dismiss the lawsuit was denied.

On December 30, 2009, after it became clear there no Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather, Jr. super fight was imminent, Pacquiao sued Golden Boy Promotions, Oscar

    enhancing drugs.

In March 2010, Golden Boy, De La Hoya and Schaefer filed a motion to dismiss. One of their arguments was that Pacquiao could not deter their constitutional right to speak out freely about a matter of public concern, namely whether the Nevada Athletic Commission should pass stricter drug testing requirements.

Today, that argument was rejected by the court without a written opinion. Still under consideration by the court are other arguments from the Golden Boy defendants, and a Mayweather motion to dismiss filed on May 17, 2010.

That's the minimum requirement to get into federal court. They can ask for millions in punitive claims.

Bad news for everyone. They're both suing each other, and the longer it gets dragged out, the longer we have to wait for them to work together again

dude, its in Nevada. You know the judges will not rule against Pacquiao. the economy has been hurting since Pac's last two fights were in Dallas Stadium.

If Nevada wants to do the right thing...rule in FAVOR of Pac. Its that simple.

I see this as part of the fight negotiations. "We'll drop this if you agree to this etc etc"

It's on for November IMO. 2011 will end up being a marquee year for settling the long running saga's in the sport.
