Its a shame that Pacquiao moves up to lightweight, where there is a guy in Campbell who is clearly the man in the division right now, and instead of most fans demanding a Pac vs Campbell fight, they want to see Pac vs Hatton.

this is a huge problem! this is the reason fights like PBF vs Oscar 2 makes sense, and Calzaghe will avoid Pavlik to take on Roy Jones. Its all about the most popular fighters fighting each other, not the ones who are proving themselves worthy. Hatton's claim as the best at 140 is a win that occured over 3 years ago and since then he has not taken on 1 LWW contender.

People are even saying that they want Pacquiao to fight Hatton right away because they're scared he'll lose before Pac gets his hands on him. Are you kidding me! If you think the guy is gonna lose then what makes him more worthy than a guy like Campbell. And don't say his size cause then you should rather Pac fight the guy who is gonna beat Hatton than Hatton himself.

Pac vs Hatton is a sham unless Pac beats Campbell first and Hatton reestablishes himself, regardless of who you think would win.

Hatton's fighting Malignaggi next, who is the #2 LWW after Hatton.

    Happy?

Because Campbell already lost to guys like Peden and the guy who Soto beat up last Saturday. Hatton was better opponent than Campbell.

and Pacquiao lost to Singsurat and Torrecampo. It doesn't matter. Campbell beat Diaz and has 3 of the 4 titles and he is the man in the division.

I think I agree with you.. Not that I wouldn't like to see a Hatton/Pacquiao fight, I'd much rather see Pacquiao fight Campbell the most at this point.. It would make for a great fight with each others titles on the line.. As much as I would like for Campbell to drop Guzman and take the Pacquiao fight, I doubt it'll happen.. For one, Campbell is a man of his word so he'll more than likely sign the fight and then of course if he did take the Pac fight, do you know how many Guzman fans would be talking ****? So if Campbell is scratched as a possible opponent, more than likely it'll be Valero or Hatton who some people say the fight with Malignaggi is already signed.. Valero can be a tune-up for Pac, not that Diaz wasn't, but everybody is signed and booked to fight this fall, leaving Pac without a fight.. But I would love to see Pacquiao fight Campbell, JMM and either Guzman or Casa first before he fights Hatton..

If Guzman beats Campbell then Pac should fight Guzman, simple as that.

    this one. I agree!

pac should fight/unify 135lbs first before jumping to 140lbs as simple as that! (yeah! no matter how easy[?] it looks)

Pac is only going to move up for one fight only then comeback down and fight at 135.

That has already been stated by Freddie Roach.

Hatton is taking on the no 1 contender at LWW next. Even his warm up fight from defeat was against a Ring magazine top 10 LWW contender, in Lazcano, believe it or not.

Castilo obviosly past his best, but was in the ring p4p top ten list at the time Hatton fought him.

Give the guy a break your just making stuff up about him.

Pac will be moving back down to 135 to fight those guys but they fancy the bout with Hatton, they think they could win it.

Sure the Guzman fight looks atractive to, pac will be straight back down to 135, even if he doesnt fight Guzman beforehand.

I wouldn't mind Pac fighting Cambell or Hatton, either or is sweet IMO.

I agree with the article. Pac should have more fights at LW first before ever thinking of Hatton. Don't get me wrong, I love a Pac/Hatton fight. But not now, when Pac could achieve so much more.

Both of them probably only have 2 or 3 fights left.

I agree with you, unifying the 135 division is way more important than Hatton.

no no the link at the top is so you can look at the poll where a vast majority of fans would rather see Pac vs Hatton than anything else.
