It doesn't get any better than Las Vegas for boxing events.

Football stadiums are not meant for boxing.

Possibly... I'm pleasantly surprized about the UK 1 million PPV buys, didn't know about that...

  3. Vegas-the boxing capital of the World:good and im not just saying that because i live here, all the historic fight's have been here since the 1960's.

I don't think Mayweather truly generates lots of PPV interest, it's his last 2 opponents that had people thinking he did...

As for the fight being later, well how late do you want to put it ? Normally big fights start around 11 pm on the east coast which equals to more or less 4 am in England.... If the fight is made earlier, then it's tough on the West coast purchases !

  5. I can't believe Roach would say that??:-(Manny has a mouth why doe's Roach speak for him:huh
Manny is setting himself up to get robbed if he fight's in the UK, in front of Hattons, fellow hundred thousand drunken fellow countryman, those judges if the fight is close will give it to Hatton, just like they gave it to Valuev against Holyfield 2 weeks ago..

  6. YUP- It's always abot the money! everyone's gotta get paid that's what a business is for..

I think this sentence itself belongs to history in 2009. Arce vs. Concepcion had an attendance of 15.000 in Mexico. Hatton vs. Lazcano had 70.000 screaming fans in the UK. For Corrales-Castillo, one of the very best fights in boxing history, 5.168 fans showed up in the Mandalay Bay...

California has a big population of filipinos (which is next to Las Vegas) so it'll be easy for the filips to cheer for Pacquiao.

But its still in a poxy 25,000 seater arena with half the tickets kept back by the casino for its high-rollers. I'd have no complaints with this fight if was in America if they put it in a decent sized stadium.

Totally feel the same way Bigbone. It's a disgrace that this fight's not happening in UK or the Phillipines. Greedy and corrupt *******s soil the noble art

Madison Square Garden or the Staples Center seem like a good choice.... Remember thousands of people came to Vegas to watch Hatton fight Castillo... A lot of those people would make the same trip to MSG or Staples...
