But that still doesn't mean that the fight should take place in a dingy 25,000 seater arena in Vegas either. People like Arum who are trying push Vegas as the "fair" option for both fighters are just full of BS. A Vegas casino has obviously put in the highest bid and thats where Arum will stage the fight, making the most money is fair enough to don't try and tell us you're doing it because its a neutral venue. Plenty of big fights take place in one or other of the boxers home turf, all that usually happens is the other boxer gets financially rewarded for fighting away from home.

It's a joke that the fight is in Las Vegas. How big will the American PPV be for a fight with no American boxers anyway?

If both fighters are cool with it taking place in Vegas, then I see no reason to ***** about it.

Both fighters don't have to pay a ******* fortune to travel halfway around the globe to watch it.

they arent cool with it, hatton has made that clear

there are only 2 issues in question here

    1. casino money
    2. the boxer/promoter will to make this a superstar mega fight for history. this can only happen in a 100k stadium with a red hot live audience

otherwise its just another money fight

Then they BOTH need to full court press Arum on this matter. Arum may be the promoter, but they are the fighters.

Its Arums "neutral" bull**** thats pissed me off, just say you've had the best bid from a casino. I won't like it but at least its a genuine reason. We have a saying in the UK, "Don't **** on me and tell me its raining", thats what Arum and the people supporting this neutral venue BS are doing.

    I love that saying.

I wonder who else made bid for the fight. Did any outfit in the UK even try?

It is not going to sell out a 100k seat stadium unless the tickets are cheap. Iy is also almost inpossibe to watch boxing from the nose bleed seat.

Hatton and Pac will get paid very nice for this fight . That mean there better be a hell of a PPV buy. PPV in the Phillipine, forget it. PPV in Britain would be good but no where near the $$ they can make from the US. As much as Pac and Hatton would love to have it at their backyard, financialy it won't work for them. Pac has been wanting a mega fight in the phillipine for ages now but his country men just can't give him the money he wants for a fight. This fight should earn each boxer 8 didget purse. Arum is about business. If England can make him the most money then that basterd would make it there.

I live in California, it is still gonna cost quite a bit to go to the fight. Simple truth is that LV makes the most sense... Wembley does not. Its not fair to Pacman. No one in the US will buy the PPV if its in england, because of the time difference. Honestly, that whole 90,000 fan argument is dumb. Boxing in a football stadium is not even worth watching for the majority of people there. I have sat toward the top of the MGM arena before, and you can barely even see the fighters from there. And that place only seats like 15,000.

Why are people whining about this?

Just how many PPVs will this get in the USA? Two non-Americans fighting at one of the lower weight classes......

money! Thats the reason it's in vegas...the fighters will get paid more by fighting in vegas than they would if they fought in england or the pi...plus why should pac have to go to england? He's the best in the world and doens't need to agree to that...
