850,000 is still impressive compared to Floyd/Hattons 915,000 numbers

    think about it

    1. The Economy
    2. Both fighters coming in undefeated
    3. The fact that Hatton/PBF was hyped for 2 and a half years before the fight was made.
    4. The grudges that these 2 fighters hold against each other

I say we'll see after the JMM/PBF PPV#s who should be in the driver's seat when it comes to negotiations with Pacman. If it does over 700,000 with 24/7 Floyd should get the bigger purse, if not Pac should.

In a post-DLH boxing world, 850K buys is great for a major fight.

I'm guessing PBF/JMM will do similiar numbers.

this was the biggest ever boxing PPV event in the US not involving an american fighter. it was therefore quite an achievement for the pac-hatton fight to reach this level of PPV nos. also considering that it happened in a bad economy.

Not bad. But I find all this PPV sales all BS when it comes to the negotiations. Going by facts, PBF has sold more than Pac (against both Hatton and Oscar) and quite substantially. But 50/50 is the only way to go here no if's no but's.

I guess the Pac's Mexican fans did show up in that fight for obvious reasons. The numbers could exceeded other Floyd's fights.

WTF???! lol...of course you can. UFC, BOXING, The box office...all forms of entertainment revenue has taken a hit...even record sales bro. Las Vegas is showing record decline in business and tourism. In almost every category the economy is doing FAR LESS than they have when the global economy wasn't in dire need of a boost. By all records that are available people for the most part are NOT buying as freely as they were a year ago. IF Floyd vs JMM does 400K that is very good considering JMM is not the top P4P fighter in the world and FLoyd has been out of the ring for over a year. PAC vs Hatton doing 850K was crazy given the economic situation globally!.
