reported by USAtoday early indications show that PPV numbers could be as big as 2mill in the US and close to a million in the UK astonishing if true
That would mean compared to the Mayweather - Hatton fight that it was way more successful in America and less successful in the UK.... Gives Pac an even stronger foothold in negotiations with Mayweather...
It's $50 a pop for the PPV in the the States, right? $100 million in PPV revenue in the US alone ... jeez. How much of that would Pac and Hatton see?
There are big Filipino communities in both the UK and the US (more so in the US). I read an article during the promotion stating that around 200,000 Brits are Filipino by origin, so I would imagine most if not all of them watched this fight (my whole family stayed up for this one). Not that surprising thinking about it, especially with the even bigger Filipino population in the US.
3 mill filipinos in the US and just over 150,000 in the UK, but remember doesn't mean they all had access to the fight as they have to be HBO or sky subscribers
if that is true he will be looking at 1.5mill payment from the ppv. anyone know what pac gets from ppv's
US$55 :deal I was in New York the week before and there were billboards and posters all over the place for it. I was pleasantly surprised how mmuch coverage it was getting. Two million is a massive surprise though if its true.
Well whatever the actual numbers, it's seems clear that the fight pulled big numbers. I'm quite shocked. I was under the impression that this didn't get as much publicity as Hatton-Mayweather.
