Nothing really confirmed. it just says that if a Pac-Malignaggi deal gets finalized it'll go to the March 13

While I'd certainly much prefer the mega-fight, I would be curious to see how Pacquiao/Malignaggi would do at the box office.

I have no interest what so ever in that fight.

PPV... ****. As a Paulie fan I might not even buy that. Who would? Maybe just Pac fans? So for the most part that's just about 20 Pinoys bundled up in 1 house chipping in their life savings for the PPV. Ahh, just playing guys. But seriously, this kind of sucks. Why can't the Pac vs Floyd fight not happen. Awful Christmas present for boxing fans.

The irony of it all is Paulie is right. "This is why boxing is declining. You're not seeing all the matchups/fights you want to see. Even UFC is doing a better job than boxing at that." That was one of his main points. The irony, is one of this matchup involves him getting to fight due to a superfight falling apart.

If there's a 24/7. That would probably have more interest value than the actual fight.

That's the only area where Malignaggi would likely be Mayweather's equal. Even then, Paulie can't match the familial entourage that Floyd, Jr. brings with him.

I think this is BS, the fights going to happen, but...

Why Malignaggi instead of Foreman? Foreman is top rank so they'd keep all the cash and at least it has some historical relevance. It's for a record eighth division.

Malignaggi isn't even a top five junior welter in my opinion.

Yes, I think Paulie could be pretty interesting. I'm sure his entourage would be entertaining in a different way than the Mayweather's, too.

Should be great to go to the fight live, though. The atmosphere and everything. I've never really been to a fight like that. Hope you have a good time. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for Paulie. Most likely, I'll cave in because I'm a Paulie fan. If he can put on an unbelievable show. Imagine. I was re-watching the Pac vs Cotto fight and Pac comes straight forward in a lot. Even my sister commented on how his defense isn't that good. I was watching it side by side to the Floyd vs JMM fight. My sister thought that Floyd would win. Honestly, I was pretty 50/50 on the fight. Paulie needs to have much better defense than he did in the Diaz fights. He has to be at his slickest. If he can look like Willie Pep for one night he could maybe win. It's not impossible.

Is this fight going to be at 140? I'm only asking due to Pac being the WBO WW champ. This would be Paulie's first tiime at WW. Will this hender his speed and abilities?

It's very very unlikely. But it's not impossible. And as a fan of Paulie I'll keep hope alive till the obvious result actually happens. That's what a fan is supposed to do.
