When I read the topic title, I was like "This might be interesting to read". Then when I saw the name "Roger Mayweather", I stop reading and skip to the comments.

 

Nowhere does that say the British helped the Spanish invade the Philippines as you claimed. The British held Manila for a while but the conflict was against the Spanish, not the filipinos themselves.
