I dont mind this fight, however im sure everyone would agree i would of prefered him to wait abit and get something sorted with Mayweather, but hey ho thats the way its going to be.

lets just hope that one day it happens

I would prefer it at 147 of 154. Pacquiao can go and claim to be an 8 weight world title holder when in reality his title wins at Welterweight and Light Middle would be below the limit.

Dont think its a problem if he wins the title is he's below the limit, its the fact he drags hits opponent down from the limit as well. i would give him some props if we walked in at 150 but let margo walk in at 154.

Agaun, number of titles/weights means nothing.

He defended his title at 147 as well.

Anyway, God knows what you think of Ray Leonard, his win over Lalonde has some very controversial weight regulations.

I'm not the biggest fan of this fight but it'll be good to see Pac back. And being a Cotto man I hope he knocks **** out of Margarito.

It's a good keep busy fight before the big one. It will be interesting to see if Pac goes in for the kill or if he has any respect for Margarito's tools and acts like a buzzsaw all night hitting him at will.

Arum will never let Pac fight anyone other than a TR fighter unless it's Floyd. If the Floyd fight don't happen and JCC Jnr keeps winning I think he'll be Pac's last opponent of his career next year.

Its a good fight on paper to be fair, though im feeling similar to the last time Pac-Floyd didnt get made- we ended up with 2 good fights/semi finals on paper that ended in washout wins for the 2 contenders to the lb for lb throne and little else proved. Same situation here really, Manny fights a guy stylistically made for him whislt eating a few wispa bars to nudge up the lbs needed for another abc belt. 3 main issues:

    1. Obvious stater- It aint Mayweather.
    2. Less annoying than the Cotto fight where at least Miguel was the title holder, but its still not on to make opponent drop the weight in a fight for any given weight-class' title. Margarito and Cotto before him should have the right to come in at 154lbs or dont fight for the title just to add more to Pacquiao's already great C.V
    3. RYAN RHODES IS GETTING SCREWED!!! As entertaining a fight this is, how can Margarito get his ass handed to him by Shane Mosely, get banned for a year, have 1 rust-shaking 10 rounder and earn a shot at the best/2nd best fighter on the planet earning a fortune in the process?? Ryan's earned his dues, got his ranking and deserved a big fight. Bloody boxing politics

Well as a ******* I wanted Pac to face Paul Williams so it's kinda dissapointing but whatever, I guess Margo is okay. It could be a good fight.

The catchweight thing is no big deal. It's not something that I'm a fan of, simply because people can use it as a stick to beat Pac with but the thing is that if this fight took place at 147, it would be more of an advantage for Pac but people would have no complaints then. So why is 150 a problem? 150 is better for Marg than 147 right? You dudes just mad about the title being on the line?

Like fleaman always says, titles don't mean **** anyway. That's just something you gotta accept these days and when you look purely at the opponent and forget about belts and **** then it's like this. You have Pac v Margo fighting at a weight which they're both comfortable at. Margo has fought at 147 his whole career but okay, let's assume he'll be weight drained at 147 (not my opinion but I've heard it said a few times). Pac's never fought at 154 and I think his best weight is probably 140 anyway so 150 is a fair enough weight for both of them.

And you are an arse kissing fanboy ****......here we go again with the dumb weight stipulations, and you called me a troll for bringing it up. :-(. If you want a strap then the weight limit should stay...if you want a catchweight then don't fight for a title, simple.

Ya it's the title that bugs me.

I know that the titles mean **** and the organizations are a disgrace, but they're still important to fighters who are trying to get themselves to world level and big fights (*cough cough* Ryan Rhodes).

Pacquiao will probably never defend this, unless against another Top Rank fighter who's around 154. It's even more of joke than we're used to.

    Titles mean nothing anyway.
