I'm going to be honest. I'm looking forward to this fight! Yeah, it's not as exiting as the possibility of Pac/Floyd but I just booked my rooms at Mandalay for the weekend of Nov. 12th. I'm not saying JMM is going to win, but I can say with absolute certainty that he'll COME TO FIGHT! I went to Vegas this past weekend and watched it closed circuit. And while the main event went exactly as I expected, the Arce fight was awesome and Vegas is always fun when Pac comes to town. I've been lucky enough to attend both Pac/Marquez 1&2 and the energy between Pinoy and Mexican fans is ****in' electric! Also, despite being raucous, the rivalry between cultures is more respectful and more sportsmanlike than you might expect. Online forum rivalry not so much, it's pretty ugly. But, being there live is different. It's not uncommon to see groups of Pinoy's and Mexicans, both with flags waiving wildly, hugging it out in drunken embraces... Bring on Nov. 12!!!
Yeah that's also what I've heard. I hope Golden Boy backs off and let's Marquez have his time in the spotlight. I'm not saying he's going to win, but this is the fight he's wanted for some time and it's the biggest payday he'll get during this, the last leg of his career.
such BS by team Pac. They been claiming he's a natural JWW being brave and fighting bigger guys as recently as the hype leading up to the Mosley fight.... if he's a natural JWW why make Marquez jump nearly 2 divisions when pac can easily make 140 or lower by not eating like a horse and give Marquez a legit chance. they'll do anything to get an advantage.... which is it? if he's a natural JWW then fight Marquez at a catch between there and lightweight otherwise drop the bull**** and admit he's now a full fledged welter weight beating men his own size not some david vs goliath scenario like they always try to hype up. they always gotta get every conceivable advantage to make their opponent weaker
