I was here in the Philippines and when they were announcing the decision, there was an eerie silence filling up the room as they knew that their boy didn't look good in the fight and he got schooled. When they announced Pac as the victor everyone erupted wildly saying how Pac got lucky because the judges scored it for him. I was shocked and saying JMM was robbed as he put on a masterclass in this fight. Most people were agreeing with me saying that Pac got lucky but yet were still happy with the result.

 

Marquez 116-112 on first viewing.

Watched it again casually with the pops a week later without scoring. Realized how one sided it was when I was talking like "blah blah blah... 8 rounds to 4" and my father cut in "shoot, I don't know if he won more than two..."

 

when i watched it live i scored it as a draw then 2nd time i watched it i scored it 7-5 to Pac but a lot of the rounds were very very close

Yea, don't let these pactrolls give you the idea that this is how people are in the Philippines. I never been there, but when I was younger I used to work at a whare house and there were a ton of Filipino people. Extremely nice and hard working people.

When I worked there, the jmm vs pac 2 fight was around the corner. I remember coming in Monday morning after the fight and they were happy pacman won but did say it could of gone either way. I felt the same way, some even saying they felt jmm had won.

Real Filipino people like pac because he is more then just a boxer there, he has gave back to the country in a lot of ways. However, when it comes to boxing we can't allow that to cloud our judgement like the pactrolls.

The 4th fight probably the first fight they both fought dirty


And we saw how they faired on a level playing field

This is the sort of Pac fan i have a lot of time for - one that can be objective and watch a fight without pacroids dirty penouse down their throat

 

Very clear Marquez win, anyone claiming otherwise has no idea how to score boxing.
Effective aggression people, not windmilling punches and missing.

 

Pacquiao won that fight by a very tight differential,,... Right hooks on target!
